[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1427974] Re: Evince keyboard input fails
I noticed the following error messages on the console when starting evince from the command line: (evince:14906): IBUS-WARNING **: Unable to connect to ibus: Could not connect: Permission denied (evince:14906): IBUS-WARNING **: Events queue growing too big, will start to drop. It looks like this is related to https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evince/+bug/1587968 and the following workaround proposed by Sander van Malssen (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evince/+bug/1587968/comments/11) did work for me as well (confirmed with two different machines that have been upgraded to 16.04). rm -r ~/.config/ibus -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to evince in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1427974 Title: Evince keyboard input fails Status in evince package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: While filling out forms in Evince, the keyboard stops logging input. Other applications still work. Fields, save dialogs, all unresponsive. Copying and pasting into evince still works.
