[Desktop-packages] [Bug 2056649] Re: Outlook.com does not authenticate anymore with evolution-ews or gnome online accounts

2024-03-10 Thread Alexander Vinbæk Strand
Now it just works here.. it seems like that an other package I installed
earlier today had gir1.2-edataserver-1.2 as one of the dependencies, and
maybe that also fixed the problem, because now the calendar syncs with
outlook, and the same does evolution with email and contacts..

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1566870] Re: libgpod freezes banshee & rhythmbox at startup with Google Drive mounted

2018-08-08 Thread Alexander Vinbæk Strand
@ville-ranki
I looked at your trace in comment #12 and maybe I found out something..

(gdb) bt full

"/run/user/1000/gvfs/google-drive:host=gmail.com,user=yyy/iTunes_Control",
type=0) at ../sysdeps/unix/sysv/linux/access.c:27

looks like libgpod tries to mount google drive as an iPod device?
(/run/user/1000/gvfs/google-drive:host=gmail.com,user=yyy/iTunes_Control)

someone that knows how to fix?

** Summary changed:

- libgpod freezes banshee & rhythmbox at startup with Google Drive mounted
+ libgpod try to mount google drive as iPod and then freezes Rhythmbox and
Banshee media players

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1566870] Re: banshee & rhythmbox crashes at startup with Google Drive mounted

2018-08-07 Thread Alexander Vinbæk Strand
Ok, so it means that the bug is in the iPod/iPhone/iPad library for
Ubuntu.

Then it maybe will affect all programs that use that library not just
Rhythmbox & Banshee?

** Also affects: libgpod (Ubuntu)

2018-08-07 Thread Alexander Vinbæk Strand
Ok, can someone test this again to reproduce the bug but with iPod
integration disabled in Rhythmbox/Banshee?

Does it crash or not?

If not, maybe we have found the problem.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1533480] Re: banshee stops respondiing during media import

2016-09-24 Thread Alexander Vinbæk Strand
Workaround that worked for me is to download banshee from here
http://packages.linuxmint.com/list.php?release=Sarah and install with
gdebi, then set package on hold "sudo apt-mark hold banshee".

That prevents banshee from updating when using apt upgrade or apt dist-
upgrade and then I get no problems with banshee.

Title:
Apparently random crash out of desktop to login screen

Status in xserver-xorg-video-intel package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
I've seen a few reports, but more "hey, anyone...?" versus filing a
bug, so I thought I'd do the latter. Delete if a duplicate.

New upgrade of Xubuntu from 15.04 to 15.10 on an MSI-based series 9
motherboard with Intel graphics (i3-4130). You can just be toddling
along and BANG, you're back at the login prompt and all applications
are closed - with obvious loss of data.

  uname -a:

I'm just looking at installing the Intel graphics drivers to see if that
helps... there's nothing obvious in most log files, but syslog contains these
lines:

Bug description:
I get logged off from Ubuntu sometimes. There is no error message or
any indication that it is going to log off. The screen goes black, and
after 2-4 seconds, i get presented with the Ubuntu Log On Screen.

There is no clear pattern (or at least if have not noticed any). One
time i am working with Netbeans, another time i am using firefox. This
also means that at present i can not clearly say what package might be
  causing this behaviour.

I am fairly sure the problem lies in 12.04 (or more precise - the
combination of 12.04 and the hardware i am using). I do not have the
same problem running 11.04 or 11.10.

only when I use apt, and only if you do a clean install, if you upgrade
from 15.04 as I have done for a week ago the bug is not there so only if
you use the last daily iso file and install from it.

I have used vmware to test the iso files.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1507985] Re: language on terminal is da-dk instead of nb-no

2015-10-20 Thread Alexander Vinbæk Strand
as i can see in the line "LANGUAGE=nb_NO:nb:no_NO:no:nn_NO:nn:da:sv:en"
it says da (Danish) and sv (Swedish) and en (English), but what does
that mean?

I have not chosen more than one language on the Ubuntu GNOME system
because I choose Norwegian when I installed, and I expect it to be just
Norwegian then and English (or Nynorsk nn-no) when it's no translation
available on Norwegian bokmål (nb-no)
