[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1357262] Re: GeForce 8800 crash: nouveau DATA_ERROR INVALID_VALUE
I've run 'tail -f /var/log/kern.log' while I was working. The system crashes hard when I mark a region in the terminal. There seems to be _no_ kernel panic happening but random code execution. After about a minute the screen turns into random patterns! So, to prevent data corruption I switched it off. I've tested with the 3.13 stock kernel and with the 3.14 kernel from the ununtu PPA. The photo is taken from the 3.14 kernel run. ** Attachment added: photo of the screen https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-nouveau/+bug/1357262/+attachment/4178283/+files/death.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-nouveau in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1357262 Title: GeForce 8800 crash: nouveau DATA_ERROR INVALID_VALUE Status in “xserver-xorg-video-nouveau” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: I've installed a fresh x64 Trusty 14.04.1 LTS.
