[Desktop-packages] [Bug 932958] Re: Some characters too wide with default fixed-with font
I tried a couple different fonts. Some have the problem, and others do not. A sample of fonts that have the problem: * Droid Sans Mono * TlwgMono Medium * Ubuntu Mono * Terminus A sample of fonts that do _not_ have the problem: * Andale Mono * DejaVu Sans Mono * FreeMono -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-terminal in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/932958 Title: Some characters too wide with default fixed-with font Status in “gnome-terminal” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: The character ▷ (Unicode code point U+25B7, white right-pointing triangle) takes up more space than other characters. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 816588] Re: Changing Caps Lock to Shift Lock does not work
Technically, I have a slightly different problem, but it is similar enough that I marked this bug as affecting me. My problem is that I select the option Make Caps Lock an additional Ctrl and no change is apparent. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/816588 Title: Changing Caps Lock to Shift Lock does not work Status in “gnome-control-center” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Status in “xorg” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: I have a laptop with a Azerty keyboard. Now I want to change the default behavior of the Caps Lock to make it a Shift Lock. This can be change in the Regional Settings under Keyboard. There I changed it to make 'Caps lock act as Shift with lock'. But even after this, the 'Shift Lock' doesn't act like it should. With Shift-Lock enabled it still gives 'É'( instead of 1234 like it should. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 816588] Re: Changing Caps Lock to Shift Lock does not work
Here's some more info! There is a conflict between two settings under Control key position. When I first opened the dialog, the At bottom left option was already selected. If that option is selected, the option Make Caps Lock an additional Ctrl has no effect. If, on the other hand, I deselect At bottom left, Make Caps Lock an additional Ctrl works as desired.
