but not 
# d-i passwd/username string juser

I am prompted for a username, defaults to "video"

I accept that default, and it tells me it is invalid.

I'm guessing thing that constructed the username should check against
the blacklist mentioned here:

"According to the comments in the list of reserved user names,"
