  [SRU]handle 802.1x on ethernet properly

Status in Network Manager Applet:
  Fix Released
Status in network-manager-applet package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released
Status in network-manager-applet source package in Xenial:
  Fix Committed

Bug description:
  [Impact]

nm-applet does not save passwords for 802.1X on Ethernet connections,
thus users will need to input password every time when connecting to
  it.

  [Test case]

Connect to an 802.1X enabled Ethernet port, choose save password when
authentication. Disconnect the network and reconnect, users should not
  be prompted again for credentials.

  [Regression potential]

The fix is a one liner that only deals with secrets handling of
certain time, potential of regression is minimal.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1068101] Re: [Upstream] Libreoffice Quicklist menu entries need internationalization

[Upstream] Libreoffice Quicklist menu entries need
  internationalization

Status in Ubuntu Translations:
  Fix Released
Status in “libreoffice” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
Libreoffice launcher icons have got a New document, New
spreadsheet, etc. entry added to their Unity quicklists.

This particular entry is not internationalized and appears always in
  English (see attached screenshot).

I can think of two ways of solving this:

  1. Marking the strings for translation and providing a .pot file as
part of the libreoffice package build, that can be imported into
Launchpad for translators to do their work. Translations can then be
shipped in the regular language packs.

  2. Do a call for translations each cycle, similar to what we do
already for the Firefox and Thunderbird desktop files, and manually
put the received translations in the libreoffice desktop files.

I'd suggest 1., as it's the most automated way and allows us to update
translations independently from the libreoffice package.

Bug description:
I am running fully updated 13.04 64-bit. I simply cannot get
empathy/UOA to connect to facebook. When I add the account in UOA
everything seems to go well, facebook login page loads, it logs in
  successfully, facebook recognizes the session as safari on linux;
but upon completing the setup in UOA empathy refuses to connect to it
and keeps telling me it requires authorization.

I've Tried the following: Removing the account from UOA
Ending all active sessions on facebook and deleting the ubuntu app
  rebooting
adding account in UOA, and allowing the ubuntu app to manage my messages
etc...

Didn't help at all. pidgin connects fine on the same computer.

Sometimes it does let me add it and it works for a while, but
eventually this issue happens again and leaves me totally unable to
successfully add a facebook account for quite some time, until it
randomly decides it wants to work again. Empathy/UOA in 13.04 has been
unreliable to the point of ridiculousness, the application is
basically unusable and can't handle the one basic task of an instant
messaging program, which is connecting to my accounts reliably.

While I can still use SIPE in pidgin, pidgin no longer integrates into
  the Unity notification system.

In either case, it means that I no longer get notifications when
people at work IM me. As such, the new version of Ubuntu has greatly
diminished my ability to use Linux at my workplace.

A way to use SIPE (or any previously supported account type not
supported by Online Accounts) in Empathy -- even if it requires a non
--pretty command line/config change -- would be very welcome.

  How to recreate the bug...

Run Rhythmbox, and enable the context pane + album art, and lyrics for
good measure as well. Close the plugins windows that pops up, click on
the new icon next to the Ubuntu One Music store and your new window
should show up. The context pane is great for me, as I love to know
what I can about the music I listen to. Rhythmbox, through gvfsd-http
has now fetched all your cool text from last.fm about your artist, but
it does not close the connection. These connections stay in close_wait
till you kill the gvfsd-http process.

this happens any time gvfsd-http is used.

Bug description:
Empathy is unable to connect behind the proxy servers whatever way we try. It
doesn't utilize the proxy settings given globally to the system. There is no
proxy option in the program also. I tried connecting to empathy from Ubuntu
11.10 in three systems behind a proxy server and in all cases it failed.
I tried all of the following but none worked:

  1. Changing settings with gconf-editor ( Walk down the tree to system -
http_proxy . Search for use_http_proxy and check it. )
Even after doing that there is no change in behaviour of empathy
  2. gksudo gedit /etc/bash.bashrc
  export http_proxy=http://proxyhost:port/
  export ftp_proxy=http://proxyhost:port/
  save and exit
  This also didnt help anything
  3. Using tsocks and editing its config files also.
In that case the result was:
tsocks dbus-launch empathy fails to retrieve the accounts list.
tsocks empathy launches empathy, but it is unable to connect..

Please generate a patch for this problem and release new version of
  the program.
