My resolv.config shows: dixon@dixon-vaio:~$ ls -l /etc/resolv.conf lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 29 May 9 06:59 /etc/resolv.conf - ../run/resolvconf/resolv.conf To remove permissions, i deleted the file: dixon@dixon-vaio:~$ sudo rm /etc/resolv.conf And then restored from previous backup: dixon@dixon-vaio:~$ sudo cp /etc/resolv.conf.bak /etc/resolv.conf Now: dixon@dixon-vaio:~$ ls -l /etc/resolv.conf -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 172 May 25 02:17 /etc/resolv.conf Here the link to ../run/resolvconf/resolv.conf is missing. Will it cause any problem..? How can i create this link ? So instead i use the LABEL directive. Now each partition is listed twice in Nautilus Places (see screenshot).
