  The Ubufox extension that comes installed by default in Ubuntu's
  Firefox disables Multiprocess, due it not being compatible with it

  a subdirectory called .gnupg. This subdirectory is owned by root. This
  directory is excluded from being backed up.

  Every time Deja Dup runs, I get an error message that this directory
  could not be processed.This is fine, I do not need it backed up, but
  it is frustrating that I get this error message even though this
  directory is excluded from the backup.

  Helpful information:

  ~$ ls -ld .gnupg | grep gnupg
  drwx-- 2 root root 4096 Apr 18  2012 .gnupg
  ~$ deja-dup --version
  deja-dup 24.0
  ~$ duplicity --version
  duplicity 0.6.19

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1369905] Re: deja-dup ignored-folders are backupped

2015-07-25 Thread Donk
Hello,
I have  the same problem.
If my home folder contain a folder which is unreadable by me, like:

~$ ls -l
drwxr-xr-x 2 donk donk 4096 juil. 25 17:41 Bureau
drwx-- 2 root root 4096 juil. 25 17:50 dirtest
drwxr-xr-x 2 donk donk 4096 juil. 25 17:41 Documents

Always I back up my home, deja-dup tells he can't back up the folder
dirtest even if it is in the exclude-list.

This happen on Trusty:
$ deja-dup --version
deja-dup 30.0
$ duplicity --version
duplicity 0.6.23

and on Wily:
$ deja-dup --version
deja-dup 34.0
$ duplicity --version
duplicity 0.7.02

Title:
  deja-dup ignored-folders are backupped

Status in deja-dup package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  beowulf:~$ lsb_release -rd
  Description:  Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS
  Release:  14.04
  beowulf:~$ apt-cache policy deja-dup

Versionstabelle:
   *** 30.0-0ubuntu4 0
  500 http://de.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ trusty/main amd64 Packages
  100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

  Upon every run of backup, I get the error-message that the file
  /home/beowulf/.cache/dconf could not be backuped. So far no problem,
  but In the settings I have set the folder ~/.cache as part of the
  ignore-list.

  The file should not even be tried to be backuped as the folder is part
  of the ignore list.

  As mentioned in duplicate bug 1417993, this bug occurs because the
  file '/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/dri/fglrx_drv_video.so' exists in both
  fglrx and xvba-va-driver so installing both packages results in a
  conflict:

  I have installed fglrx driver from AMD. And problem is that it has same
library file: fglrx_drv_video.so as xvba-video package /usr so xvba-video try
to overwrite file which belongs to AMD fglrx package.

  $ dpkg -L fglrx | grep fglrx_drv_video.so
