Title:
Evince cannot open file from Firefox (beta), failed to load libnss3.so

Status in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
Whenever I try to open a PDF file from the Firefox download manager, I
  get the following error:

Failed to load backend for 'application/pdf': libnss3.so: failed to
  map segment from shared object.

This only happens from Firefox Developer edition (same as beta), which
I have running from my home directory. So this is probably somehow an
issue with that, but I don't know how to debug it. I don't know why
it's different from running Evince from nautilus, or just starting it
directly, or even from Firefox stable, which is fine. But I suppose
there might also be an issue with Evince if it's crashing when
  launched in this way.

I would appreciate any help in debugging this matter. Thanks!

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 852184] Re: Typeahead search entry not persistent while receiving input in Icon View

Title:
Typeahead search entry not persistent while receiving input in Icon
  View

Status in Nautilus:
  Unknown
Status in “nautilus” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
While in Icon View, the search entry typeahead that appears when you
begin typing disappears very quickly, irrespective of the user's
typing. It lasts less than a second, not long enough to type more than
two characters, and is difficult to bring back up.

This problem only occurs in Icon View and Compact View.

  How to reproduce:

  1. Open nautilus.
  2. Enter Icon view in an empty folder
  3. Create three folders, LongName1, LongName2, LongName3.
  4. Make sure that the focus is on Nautilus.
  5. Begin typing LongName3.

What is expected: The helpful search entry will pop up, allowing you
to type the name of LongName3, and selecting it for you.

What actually happens: The search entry shows up, highlights LongName1
as it is first in the dictionary order, then disappears around the
letter 'n', and you are forced to try to retype LongName3.

After reading the source somewhat in Nautilus to better understand the
problem, I rewrote this bug and provided what I suppose is a more
  readable summary.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 721284] Re: [Upstream] file-roller unable to extract zip archives

2011-08-31 Thread Fabio Duran Verdugo
Yes I get the same error with ubuntu 11.10, but I can reproduce in
fedora with the same version (3.1.2.1fc16) for file-roller and from
GNOME git-master (3.1.90). Maybe this is a compiler problem. I think
this.

cheers.

  cd ~/Desktop && wget https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/file-
  roller/+bug/721284/+attachment/1857724/+files/clam.zip && file-roller
  -h clam.zip

is the archive is extracted quickly and successfully.

  4) What happens instead is a window pops up noting:

  Could not open "clam.zip"

This is a regression from Natty as the file was extracted in it with
  no problem.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 818718] Re: evolution crashed with SIGSEGV in __strcmp_sse4_2()

2011-08-20 Thread Fabio Duran Verdugo
Only if I have an pop protocol configured evolution crashes. I think
this because, I change all my account with pop protocol to one account
with imap and other account with imapx and can't get again the bug.
