The mouse works perfectly in the login page, and when logging in with an user, it works fine when the XFCE logo is shown while starting the session, but afterwards, a graphics mode seems to change (I can see some activity in Xorg.log) and after that I can't see the mouse pointer anymore. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1394394] [NEW] pm-suspend-wakeup-hibernate (aka pm-suspend-hybrid before 3.6)
Public bug reported: Ubuntu 14.04LTS pm-utils 1.4.1-13ubuntu0.1 before kernel 3.6, pm-suspend-hybrid would do suspend/wakeup/hibernate (with full power-off). since kernel 3.6, pm-suspend-hybrid will do suspend-to-both (without full power-off). [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1394388] [NEW] pm-suspend not restoring /sys/power/disk with /bin/dash
Public bug reported: Ubuntu 14.04LTS pm-utils 1.4.1-13ubuntu0.1 When issuing the pm-suspend command, the scripts set the HIBERNATE_MODE in /sys/power/disk to "suspend". [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1389858] Re: Libreoffice calc 4.2.7-0ubuntu1 not updating references after sort
Hi, this update broke several of my spreadsheets that I use regularly, and have been using even back with StarOffice, then OpenOffice and finally LibreOffice for years. While the Ubuntu patch makes it sort in some way different from the "New LO way of updating References", it still breaks. This is a major break/change in functionality on an LTS platform and just "should not happen(TM)". [Desktop-packages] [Bug 923858] Re: Parallel printer over USB "usbfs: USBDEVFS_CONTROL failed cmd udev-configure-"
The bug appears in very similar manner on Kubuntu14.04 (Trusty Tahr). I tried all the steps proposed above and also in Bug987485, but without any positive result. The printer (in my case HP LaserJet 5L), connected via a prolific usb->parallel converter, prints at most one page (after switching off and on), then nothing. Printing the cups test page results in a stop after 38%. All the measure given in the different bug description (lpadmin -p HP_LaserJet_5L -o usb-unidir-default=true, lpadmin -p HP_LaserJet_5L -o usb-no-reattach-default=true in all permutations, removing usblp, stopping cups, cat-ing directly to /dev/usb/lp0) did not help. And - of course - the printer is switched on, and did work under ubuntu10.04 for years. Any help is highly appreciated, especially since the bug seems to persist for several years now. My feeling is, that it has to do with some disturbed bidirectional communication between printer and computer via the usb-adapter, but I cannot prove. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1069044] Re: Status indicator shows charging status of mouse battery instead of main laptop battery
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1066208 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1066208 The same problem with Lenovo Thinkpad T430s and the Apple Magic Mouse. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-power-manager in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1069044 Title: Status indicator shows charging status of mouse battery instead of main laptop battery Status in “gnome-power-manager” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Since I've moved to ubuntu 12.10, the status indicator displays the charging status of the mouse-battery instead of the charging status of the main laptop battery. This is irritating, at it continuosly makes me think my laptop is not connected to the mains and running with battery power. I would expect the status indicator to show the status of the laptop battery and only display the status of the mouse battery if I click on the battery symbol. The version of gnome-power-manager is 3.6.0-0ubuntu1 OS: ubuntu 12.10 The mouse battery is recognized as battery_hid_00o14o51oD0o7Co85_battery The laptop battery is recognized as battery_BAT0 The system is a Lenovo X201s To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-power-manager/+bug/1069044/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : desktop-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
