Thanks Wayne. I think the confusing part in this ticket is that there must have been multiple regressions in terms of CPU over time and I think we are also mixing X and Wayland (in case that matters). Certainly I also saw a big slowdown between TB 91 and 102. In any case, with regards to my specific problem (mouse hover lagging behind in Supernova) I narrowed it down to: ``` 2:47.23 INFO: Narrowed nightly regression window from [2023-01-18, 2023-01-20] (2 days) to [2023-01-18, 2023-01-19] (1 days) (~0 steps left) 2:47.23 INFO: Got as far as we can go bisecting nightlies... 2:47.23 INFO: Last good revision: 76f62fd3a78092592457e19dbc6e59f87c4f084d (2023-01-18) 2:47.23 INFO: First bad revision: ac5c72f2e56036e2088b5aa794891978fcede5aa (2023-01-19) 2:47.23 INFO: Pushlog: https://hg.mozilla.org/comm-central/pushloghtml?fromchange=76f62fd3a78092592457e19dbc6e59f87c4f084d&tochange=ac5c72f2e56036e2088b5aa794891978fcede5aa [...] 2:54.34 INFO: There are no build artifacts for these changesets (they are probably too old). ``` Visually the GUI changed drastically between these two builds (colors, icons, etc.) so I assume this is the massive "ash" code landing you mentioned? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to thunderbird in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1959747 Title: [upstream] Very high CPU and slow responsiveness in Thunderbird 91-102 Status in Mozilla Thunderbird: Confirmed Status in thunderbird package in Ubuntu: Triaged Bug description: Very high CPU and slow responsiveness in Thunderbird 91.5.0 and later. I just tried the latest 118.0b4. The lag on the mouse-over effect as well as the high CPU usage is still reproducible for me. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1033116]
@Rainer Bielefeld: I observe this problem for both vertical and horizontal toolbars. Should I submit a new bug report for this or is it the same issue? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to libreoffice in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1033116 Title: Arrows missing in LibreOffice such that sub-menu can't be shown Status in LibreOffice Productivity Suite: Confirmed Status in “libreoffice” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: In LibreOffice Writer, when a toolbar is docked, icons on the toolbar that can't be shown due to limited space are grouped to be shown in a vertical menu triggered by pressing the "more button" (the button with ">>" on it). The bug is that these icons that have sub-menu(e.g. a color palette) shown in a vertical menu don't have arrows beside them to trigger their respective sub-menu. However, it is expected that icons that have sub-menu should have arrows beside them even if they are grouped in a vertical menu. Example: On "Formatting" menu, the "Highlighting" button should have an arrow beside it such that a color palette can be shown after pressing the arrow for users to choose the highlighting color. However, when this button is grouped in a vertical menu triggered by pressing the "more button", the arrow is gone. As a result, users can't choose the highlighting color. Instead, users have to make the toolbar not docked such that the arrow appears again. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1033116]
I still see the same problem that I reported in comment #20 with Version 3.6.2.2 (Build ID: da8c1e6). It makes LibreOffice completely unusable on Ubuntu for me. Please let me know in case you need more information. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1033116]
I am seeing the same problem with Version 3.6.1.2 (Build ID: e29a214) on Ubuntu 11.04 (x86). In Impress or Writer, clicking on the little black dropdown arrow of the "Font Color" toolbar icon has no effect. No dropdown menu appears. The same is true for some of the other toolbar icons I tried (e.g. arrow style). Others like "Font Size" or "Font Name" work just fine. Contrary to the other reports here, it doesn't matter weather the toolbar is attached horizontally or vertically. The dropdown never works. I tried a complete re-install and also deleted .config/libreoffice/3/user without success. This makes LibreOffice basically unusable for me at the moment.
