  Nautilus cut/copy--paste not working

Status in “nautilus” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
The problem appears while using the mouse trying to copy or cut /
paste links, folders or files from one location to another. After the
mouse-right-click drop-down menu selection of 'copy' or 'cut' the
second stage - right-click 'paste' (to the desired location) - is
greyed out and the selected files won't move/copy. Key combinations
  CTRL-X, CTRL-C, CTRL-V don't work either.

However dragging and dropping with the mouse allways works perfectly.
Also using SHIFT + drag with the mouse works correctly.

The files are on the local network on a nfs v3-server (Ubuntu 10.04).
Permissions are correct and chmod is 755 (as it has always been). This
problem came with the Ubuntu 11.10 workstation and has never occurred
before. The workstation was upgraded from 10.10 to 11.10 by CD,
formatting / (ext4) and leaving Home unformatted (ext4). I am using

the title of this bug is what i wanted to confirm:

copy and paste is kind of disturbed: When i select a file and "copy" it
in nautilus, change the directory i would expect the menu entry for
"insert" not beeing greyed out. Despide of beeing greyed out, ctrl+v
works!

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 928880] Re: wrong display of draw ole object in writer

2012-02-11 Thread Fritz Heinrichmeyer
The document showing this effect was created in windows.

Later i saved the ole object in a drawing file for further use,
completed the drawing and copied part of it again in the writer
document. "Unfortunately" all errors vanished after importing the
drawing under linux and after stopping to fill the frame of the ole
object straight up to the corners. Sorry, but i forgot about my bug
report.

The error did not depend on different graphics cards like bug #850872.

Bug description:

I created a document with a small schematic drawing on it. It is shown

is broken, moreover the relative error depends on chosen zoom factor

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 890284] Re: empathy account dialog problem with gnome-shell

2012-01-12 Thread Fritz Heinrichmeyer
There are "sometimes" errors with gtk3 i.e. with gnome-tweak-tool
windows dialog. The reported observation is not or no more reproducible
by me.

Sometimes i simply miss the scrollbars when using gtk3 overlay
scrollbars and a non standard theme. I uninstalled overlay-scrollbar
and now find gnome-tweak-tool and empathy dialogs more useable.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 833701] Re: math objects inherit automatic font color

2011-12-11 Thread Fritz Heinrichmeyer
There should be a possibility to define styles for formulas in the same
way than you can define text styles or paragraph styles. This is a long
standing bug/wishlist.

As is it possible to define all other text attributes by styles (in
german: Vorlagen) the standard text color is de facto the default math
color attribute. IMO this is not a design decision but an (upstream)
fault.

apport information

** Tags added: apport-collected oneiric running-unity

** Description changed:

automatic font color controls presentation of text in libreoffice.
Unfortunately it also determines the default color of math objects. If
this color is i.e. "dark grey" black and white printers dither and small
  characters are therefore disturbed.

- I found no gui for changing default math object colors. Maybe gui color
- theme should not influence document colors at all.

the drag icon is over it, releasing the mouse the drag icons floats back to

  * The folder in question is "Downloads" which is on the local file system and
opens fine when clicked.

Title:
[Oneiric] Messaging Menu still showing "Set up mail" with Thunderbird
  fully configured

Status in “thunderbird” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  I am using Ubuntu 11.10, updated as of today, x64 with a it-IT i18n;
thunderbird package version is 7.0~b1+build1+nobinonly-0ubuntu4 and
  indicator-messages package version is 0.4.95-0ubuntu1.

As you can see in the attached image, the messaging menu still thinks I have
to configure my e-mail; but I have my Thunderbird fully set up and working.
Clicking on "Configura email..." (Italian for "Set up email...") takes me
correctly to Thunderbird, but still without seeing I have set it up.

installing p7zip-full solves problem. But zip archives should "work" out
of the box.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 833701] [NEW] math objects inherit automatic font color

2011-08-25 Thread Fritz Heinrichmeyer
Public bug reported:

automatic font color controls presentation of text in libreoffice.
Unfortunately it also determines the default color of math objects. If
this color is i.e. "dark grey" black and white printers dither and small
characters are therefore disturbed.

I found no gui for changing default math object colors. Maybe gui color
theme should not influence document colors at all.

** Affects: libreoffice (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New
