[Desktop-packages] [Bug 400008]
I have thrown some money at the bounty too. Looks like a good idea. Would be good if the recent documents menu only show documents specific for each component? For example, recent Writer documents only when accessing the Open Document from within Writer and Calc documents only when accessing the Open Document from within Calc? Just a thought. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to libreoffice in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/48 Title: [Upstream] Show recent documents as open button dropdown menu Status in LibreOffice Productivity Suite: Confirmed Status in The OpenOffice.org Suite: Invalid Status in “libreoffice” package in Ubuntu: Won't Fix Status in “openoffice.org” package in Ubuntu: Won't Fix Bug description: It would be useful to be able to access recent documents through a dropdown menu on the Open Document toolbar button, like new document types are available from the New Document button. Gedit has this feature and it is quicker than the awkward 'S' you have to traverse with the cursor when selecting File > Recent Documents > 4. Example.odt. The Load Url combo box is too bulky. The crash usually shows itself in Impress. It seems to happen less often in the other components. To reproduce the crash I do the following: 1. Start Libreoffice Impress; 2. Make some changes and close Impress; 3. Click on Discard changes. The crash does not happen every time.
