[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1682455] Re: thunderbird not available in GNOME Software

2017-07-31 Thread Gabriel Longo
This bug should not be classified as invalid, in every Ubuntu 17.04
installation that I do on several computers, thunderbird is not in
Gnome-Software, and yet the workaround shown above did not work.

Title:
thunderbird not available in GNOME Software

Status in thunderbird package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
I am filing this against Thunderbird, even though it also concerns
  another package (GNOME Software).

Essentially, using a freshly installed Ubuntu GNOME 17.04, Thunderbird
is not available in GNOME Software (the default software app for this
flavour). You cannot find it via search or the packages browser.

The only way to install it is via apt-get and even then it doesn't
show in Software (see attached picture).

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1683096] [NEW] [37722QP, Realtek ALC269VC, Black Headphone Out, Left] audio balance slider problem

2017-04-15 Thread Gabriel Longo
Public bug reported:

Sound works normally on the standard speakers, but when I put on the
headphone I notice that only the left side emits sound, so I go to the
settings and notice that the audio balance slider is well to the left, I
set it to The center and everything goes on working normally.

In many cases I also notice that the sound is only emitted on the left
side, even though the slider is centered, so again in this case I take
the slider and move it out of the center and then center it again, and
the sound is properly balanced normally.

I already checked if it was the plugs and jacks, and they are perfect,
otherwise I would not be able to get around the problem by changing the
"slider"

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1540157] Re: Xenial: Mouse pointer disappears after release upgrade

2016-09-01 Thread Gabriel Longo
This is not invalid, bugs still affects people as you can see here
http://askubuntu.com/questions/780027/ubuntu-16-04-hides-cursor-when-
using-graphics-tablet?rq=1 and here
http://askubuntu.com/questions/809698/ubuntu-16-04-hides-cursor-when-
using-tablet .

And i think that is not a duplication of bug 1568604, which has already
been fixed.

** Changed in: unity (Ubuntu)

Title:
Xenial: Mouse pointer disappears after release upgrade

Status in unity package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed
Status in xserver-xorg-video-intel package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
After release upgrade from Wily to Xenial, the mouse pointer is
  invisible.

  Reproduce:
  – Install Ubuntu Wily Werewolf desktop from the official Live CD.
  – Upgrade to Xenial Xerus with „do-release-upgrade -d”.

Only had a chance to test it on KVM virtual machine, but it happened every
time I upgraded a virtual machine to Xenial.
Also, only tested via Wily -> Xenial upgrade, haven't tried Trusty -> Xenial.

Nature Xenial install from the Xenial Live CD daily build right away
doesn't have this issue, so I assume something goes wrong during the
  upgrade process.
