[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1392942] [NEW] keyboard stops working after using shift + arrow key to highlight long string of text.

2014-11-14 Thread Geoffrey McClinsey
Public bug reported:

Release: Ubuntu 14.10

Package Version:
Installed: 38.0.2125.111-0ubuntu0.14.10.1.1103
  Candidate: 38.0.2125.111-0ubuntu0.14.10.1.1103

 37.0.2062.94-0ubuntu1~pkg1065 0

Expectation: I expected to be able to copy a long string of text by
first highlighting it using shift + right arrow key.

Actual Result: After about 50 or so characters the keyboard stops
working. This also includes outside of chromium-browser. Once the
browser is closed, the keyboard starts to work again right away.

Side note: Tried multiple times on different pages with the same result.
Also does the same thing using google-chrome-stable.

Turns out this problem is specific to using "Apps - Google Docs" so I am
not sure if the bug lies in chromium, or the app

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1394048] [NEW] When full screen the buttons seem to be off in relation to the mouse pointer

2014-11-18 Thread Geoffrey McClinsey
Public bug reported:

With chromium-browser fully maximized there seems to be an placement
issue. For example. If i put my mouse pointer directly on the x of a tab
to close it, it does not notice that there is a button there, but if I
move to left or right so its slightly off the x, i get the prompt and if
I press it the browser will close.

This is a screenshot of mouse pointer directly on the x to close ---
http://imgur.com/KCU5VZm

This is a screenshot of the mouse just off the x and notice how it now
reacts -- http://imgur.com/ApwCpWQ

Expected: When I put pointer over it, it should turn red indicating that I can
press it and the tab will close
Actual results: Nothing changes

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1394338] Re: gnome-terminal's menu is missing "File/Open Tab"

2014-11-19 Thread Geoffrey McClinsey
I have it in mine. Most of the things like file edit and what not have
been moved to the top tray where it shows the time, but on the left hand
side. I hated this behavior. To fix it

System Settings ~ Appearance ~ Behavior ~ Show the menus for a window ~
In the window’s title bar
