[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1849693] Re: [snap] Upgrading from kubuntu 19.04 to 19.10 lost all chromium settings
After creating the Symlink inside of the .config/chromium/ directory, my config was transfered fine on the next chromium restart. So I have found a workaround for my situation. Thank you. gert@flupp:~/.config/chromium$ ln -s Profile\ 1/ Default gert@flupp:~/.config/chromium$ cd gert@flupp:~$ rm -rf ~/snap/chromium/current/.config/ -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to chromium-browser in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1849693 Title: [snap] Upgrading from kubuntu 19.04 to 19.10 lost all chromium settings Status in chromium-browser package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: I just have upgraded from kubuntu 19.04 to 19.10. chromium was changed from deb to snap 77.0.3865.120-0ubuntu1~snap1. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1768291] Re: lirc is flooding the syslog with two lines each second
Hello, I have to correct myself: You can remove the lirc package without losing other packages. The problem was that I had tried to remove all three *lirc* packages. And at least one of them has some dependencies from other packages. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1768291] [NEW] lirc is flooding the syslog with two lines each second
Public bug reported: Hello, in the syslog every second two lines are written: May 1 18:05:19 flupp lircd[1323]: lircd-0.10.0[1323]: Error: Cannot glob /sys/class/rc/rc0/input[0-9]*/event[0-9]* May 1 18:05:19 flupp lircd-0.10.0[1323]: Error: Cannot glob /sys/class/rc/rc0/input[0-9]*/event[0-9]* May 1 18:05:20 flupp lircd[1323]: lircd-0.10.0[1323]: Error: Cannot glob /sys/class/rc/rc0/input[0-9]*/event[0-9]* May 1 18:05:20 flupp lircd-0.10.0[1323]: Error: Cannot glob /sys/class/rc/rc0/input[0-9]*/event[0-9]* May 1 18:05:21 flupp lircd[1323]: lircd-0.10.0[1323]: Error: Cannot glob /sys/class/rc/rc0/input[0-9]*/event[0-9]* May 1 18:05:21 flupp lircd-0.10.0[1323]: Error: Cannot glob /sys/class/rc/rc0/input[0-9]*/event[0-9]* May 1 18:05:22 flupp lircd[1323]: lircd-0.10.0[1323]: Error: Cannot glob /sys/class/rc/rc0/input[0-9]*/event[0-9]* May 1 18:05:22 flupp lircd-0.10.0[1323]: Error: Cannot glob /sys/class/rc/rc0/input[0-9]*/event[0-9]* May 1 18:05:23 flupp lircd[1323]: lircd-0.10.0[1323]: Error: Cannot glob /sys/class/rc/rc0/input[0-9]*/event[0-9]* May 1 18:05:23 flupp lircd-0.10.0[1323]: Error: Cannot glob /sys/class/rc/rc0/input[0-9]*/event[0-9]* May 1 18:05:24 flupp lircd[1323]: lircd-0.10.0[1323]: Error: Cannot glob /sys/class/rc/rc0/input[0-9]*/event[0-9]* May 1 18:05:24 flupp lircd-0.10.0[1323]: Error: Cannot glob /sys/class/rc/rc0/input[0-9]*/event[0-9]* May 1 18:05:25 flupp lircd[1323]: lircd-0.10.0[1323]: Error: Cannot glob /sys/class/rc/rc0/input[0-9]*/event[0-9]* May 1 18:05:25 flupp lircd-0.10.0[1323]: Error: Cannot glob /sys/class/rc/rc0/input[0-9]*/event[0-9]* May 1 18:05:26 flupp lircd[1323]: lircd-0.10.0[1323]: Error: Cannot glob /sys/class/rc/rc0/input[0-9]*/event[0-9]* May 1 18:05:26 flupp lircd-0.10.0[1323]: Error: Cannot glob /sys/class/rc/rc0/input[0-9]*/event[0-9]* May 1 18:05:27 flupp lircd[1323]: lircd-0.10.0[1323]: Error: Cannot glob /sys/class/rc/rc0/input[0-9]*/event[0-9]* May 1 18:05:27 flupp lircd-0.10.0[1323]: Error: Cannot glob /sys/class/rc/rc0/input[0-9]*/event[0-9]* May 1 18:05:28 flupp lircd[1323]: lircd-0.10.0[1323]: Error: Cannot glob /sys/class/rc/rc0/input[0-9]*/event[0-9]* May 1 18:05:28 flupp lircd-0.10.0[1323]: Error: Cannot glob /sys/class/rc/rc0/input[0-9]*/event[0-9]* This is not only annoying as it makes it difficult to use the syslog for checking the system, but also it writes too much data into the log (18MB each day). Also it keeps the hard disc awaken what is bad for standby. But I cannot purge the packages as other packages I want to keep would be removed as well. Deactivating the services in systemd does not help (or I am doing something wrong?) [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1161854] Re: System Notification Warning: flashplugin-installer could not be processed
I ran into this problem again. Removing the file /var/lib/update-notifier/user.d/data-downloads-failed-permanently seems to stop the occurence of the notification. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to flashplugin-nonfree in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1161854 Title: System Notification Warning: flashplugin-installer could not be processed Status in “flashplugin-nonfree” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Upgrading the flashplugin-installer had a problem with downloading the flash-tar-file. Because it took very long I have interrupted it and retried again with AFAIR "apt-get -f install". The plugin was successfully updated then. But: Everytime I log into KDE I see a system notification "Update Information": "Data files for some packages could not be downloaded The following packages requested additional data downloads after package installation, but the data could not be downloaded or could not be processed...flashplugin-installer... This is a permanent failure that leaves the packages unusable on your system. You may need to fix your internal connection, then remove and reinstall the packages to fix this problem". So I tried to "apt-get purge flashplugin-installer" and reinstalled it again "apt-get install flashplugin-installer". But the warning still persists. (Although flash does work fine in e.g. firefox.) How can I get rid of this warning?
