Re: [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1922353] Re: Overview sometimes fails to appear or disappear in gnome-shell 3.38
Thank you for the work, ii gnome-shell 3.38.4-1ubuntu3~21.04.1 ii gnome-shell-common 3.38.4-1ubuntu3~21.04.1 ii gnome-shell-extension-prefs 3.38.4-1ubuntu3~21.04.1 I updated the above packages from proposed updates, logged out and in to wayland, enabled the dash-to-panel extension through firefox, happily pressed the Super key just to check if I get back my desktop ( i did) and started a few applications via the run field or whatever. Seems to work. Regards, tg On Fri, 4 Jun 2021 at 11:31, Timo Aaltonen <1922...@bugs.launchpad.net> wrote: > > Hello Gipsz, or anyone else affected, > > Accepted gnome-shell into hirsute-proposed. Re: [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1866228] Re: Gnome shell extensions are badly broken
Agreed on the close, the main issue, the disorganisation of the packages to the level of unusability is fixed. A separate report for the missing dependency was filed. I hereby exhort the extension developers to step up their game with the upgrades, but they are not listening and I cant ask anyone to do a favor that's all we can do with this bug :) Regards, tg On Thu, 26 Mar 2020 at 02:31, Daniel van Vugt wrote: > > Thanks for the reply. Re: [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1866228] Re: Gnome shell extensions are badly broken
Hi, Upgrading was not an option, the broken system was removed, but I did a full os upgrade, and the "bundled" extensions seems to work. I filed another report via the crash detector, it seems that additional packages are needed to configure the extensions. Also a bunch of extensions are not available for 3.36, but that's someone else's job. Thanks for the followup, and for the work. gj On Wed, 25 Mar 2020 at 10:01, Daniel van Vugt wrote: > > Thanks Rocko. > > Gipsz, please update your system: > > sudo apt update > sudo apt full-upgrade > > and then reboot.
