[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1586962] Re: Impossible to select screen rate
No, an option for that could not "always be" just because of this bug report: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=655041 It was created in 2011, and people are still experiencing issues now (last meaasge: 2016-07-16 14:24:06 UTC). I attach a screenshot of the display settings window. I have changed the resolution using this settings once, and since that GNOME sets the screen rate to maximum, which causes alignment problems on my monitor (multiple people experience the same issue on GNOME Bugzilla). So, I have to add an xrandr command to autostart. As this question suggests, there is no better way since 2012! http://askubuntu.com/questions/147580/how-to-see-change-screen-refresh-rate-or-monitor-frequency So please, don't redirect the issue. ** Bug watch added: GNOME Bug Tracker #655041 https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=655041 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to unity-control-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1586962 Title: Impossible to select screen rate Status in gnome-control-center package in Ubuntu: New Status in unity-control-center package in Ubuntu: Expired Bug description: There should be an option to select the screen rate.
