2017-07-02 Thread Jakub Jankiewicz
This is not related to nvidia because when I use nomodeset kernel option
I have the same delay.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1683148] Re: Sound delay with ASUS GL552VW in 17.04

2017-05-12 Thread Jakub Jankiewicz
I've changed the mode for my nvidia card, in nvidia x server settings,
from adaptive to performance, and it seems that this fixed the sound
issue for my case. But it would be nice if it work with adaptive (my
laptop run silently, when I don't use it, in that mode)

When I had 16.10 everything was fine but when I've installed 17.04

there is few seconds delay after sound is played, the sound and video is
in sync but it look like sound is muted when it starts it work when
playing next sound or when pausing the sound (for instance in audacious)
but I've got delay when I stop and play again.

I've try this in /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf file as mention in this
  thread https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1308604

  options snd-hda-intel model=laptop enable=1 index=0
  options snd-hda-intel power save=0

but got error in dmesg that those options are not supported:

  [ 15.253198] snd_hda_intel: unknown parameter 'power' ignored
  [ 15.253199] snd_hda_intel: unknown parameter 'save' ignored

all new feeds in a menu. But the icon don't change so you need to click

Status in “liferea” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
The patch recently applied to liferea for Unity messaging menu support
(port-to-messaging-menu.patch) broke liferea on xubuntu. It eliminated
liferea's system tray icon, thereby making liferea inaccessible in
xfce when running minimized or started in a minimized state (as is the
case for most people who let it auto-start at login time).

Here is the changelog entry corresponding to the offending patch:

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1045790] Re: Rendering error on OCAL website

2012-09-08 Thread Jakub Jankiewicz
How much it's different from original, when you look at it when zooming?
SVG Cleaner too modify svg because it modify paths (d atribute, and
that't the whole problem). You can try to use different modification to
fix your svg, or try to reverse modifications done by SVG Cleaner.

I think that this bug should not be reported here but for SVG Cleaner or
Cario library. The reason for this may be because, one of those library
don't implement SVG Specification right. I think that Cairo is more
mature libary and SVG Cleaner is still unstable I think, and in this
case SVG Cleaner should make svg that will work on cairo.

Title:
  Rendering error on OCAL website

Status in libRSVG - SVG Rendering Library:
  Unknown
Status in openclipart:
  Invalid
Status in “librsvg” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
I uploaded an SVG that is a map of the UK and Ireland
  http://openclipart.org/detail/171939/uk-and-ireland-by-
hellocatfood-171939 It was generated in Inkscape and then cleaned up
  using SVG Cleaner

In Inkscape, GIMP and the Firefox SVG preview it displays correctly,
but on OCAL it looks very weird!

  Steps to reproduce:
  Download the original SVG
https://bugs.launchpad.net/librsvg/+bug/1045790/+attachment/3302221/+files/uk-ireland-vector_original.svg
Download and install SVG Cleaner https://github.com/RazrFalcon/SVGCleaner/
Run SVG Cleaner on the folder containing the SVG
Look at the thumbnail preview on programs that use librsvg (Open Clip Art
Library, Nautilus)
