[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1667968] [NEW] Ubuntu 16.10 kernel 4.8.0-39 No network connectivity
Public bug reported: My last kernel update changed something that is causing the network manager to fail to load anything but the lo device. If I reboot into the previous kernel (4.8.0-38) everything works fine. I'm not certain that this issue is related to the NetworkManger or the Kernel, but the bottom line is I have not ethernet when I boot using the latest kernel. This is one of three computers I built a few years back. It's based on an Asus motherboard: P5G41T-M LX PLUS, BIOS 050210/21/2011 The eth0 NIC is on the motherboard. Any info you need, I will try and provide. Any help you might offer would be appreciated. I run apt-get update followed by apt-get dist-upgrade every day. This is the first time I've had a serious problem as a byproduct of updating. ** Affects: network-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to network-manager in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1667968 Title: Ubuntu 16.10 kernel 4.8.0-39 No network connectivity Status in network-manager package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: My last kernel update changed something that is causing the network manager to fail to load anything but the lo device.
