Title:
libreoffice fails to recognize java installations

Status in “libreoffice” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
Libreoffice cannot see the various java installations on my computer
If I manually enter a path, like /usr/lib/jvm/java-7-openjdk-
amd64/jre, the attempt fails with the message the folder you have
selected does not contain a java runtime environment.

This cripples my installation, since it means I can't use the Zotero
extension for citation, so all of my old papers are inaccessible.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 874031] Re: icon is replaced by a question mark

2011-11-18 Thread Jim McKean
In my case, the *.desktop file located in ~/.local/share/applications
had an error in the ICON= string. It said 'libreoffice-writer.png'
instead of 'libreoffice34-writer.png.' Not sure what created that local
file, but whatever it is might be the root cause.

Using Asus 1018P with 11.10. Intel graphics. Same problem with Writer.
All other LO icons are OK, but WorkSpace switcher is the same generic
icon.
