[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1510970] Re: Intel driver crashes on Ubuntu 15.10
I updated the kernel to 4.3 today but still got two crashes since then. I also created /etc/mkinitcpio.conf and put "i915" in the file but that did not change anything. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1510970 Title: Intel driver crashes on Ubuntu 15.10 Status in xserver-xorg-video-intel package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: The Xserver crashes randomly after upgrading to Ubuntu 15.10. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1510970] Re: Intel driver crashes on Ubuntu 15.10
Today I had a scenario where I could reproduce the Bug: I opened LibreOffice Writer and inserted areas into the document. The first one always worked but when I created the second area the X-server crashed. I also noticed that apport took longer with each crash. After the third crash I always killed apport because it prevented me for more than 30s to log in again. Could you give some update on the status of this bug? Is somebody from Intel working on this? I have to downgrade to an older Ubuntu version if this bug can't be fixed soon.
