Snap firefox does not allow to open downloaded pdfs with evince over
system handler.

Steps to reproduce:
Fresh installed 22.10, download a pdf with firefox, click on it in firefox 
download list -> nothing happens. In firefox preferences pdf is setted to use 
system default handler.

I disagree with you Daniel. So far I know, Gnome doesn't have a default
compose key. Of course you can set it with gnome-tweaks, but for all
keybinding this one is . May be you restore the original issue
name and move it to mutter?

It's looks like that this is a mutter thing. If I understand that
correctly from a short gsettings dig, you can set only one key as
overlay-key, not a combo, not several separate keys.

you can inspect the chromium content interface. just look for the slot
where chromium:icon-themes is plugged in, e.c. by:

$ snap connections chromium | grep chromium:icon-themes

if that snap doesn't provide you the user chosen icon theme it fallbacks
to hicolor.
