[Desktop-packages] [Bug 873702] Re: some function names in Calc appear in english others in local language (mixed up)

2011-11-22 Thread Jorge E . Gómez
I can confirm bug was fixed with the 2011-11-09 update from the
LibreOffice PPA: (1:3.4.4-0ubuntu1~ppa1), but I found the bug again
after updating from Oneiric main on 2011-11-22 (1:3.4.4-0ubuntu1).

Were the PPA fixes supposed to be included in main by now? or should I
have indicated to apt-get to keep the PPA version?

some function names in Calc appear in english others in local language

Status in “libreoffice” source package in Oneiric:

Bug description:
  Ubuntu 11.10
  LibreOffice 3.4.3 OOO340m1 (Build:302) (Ubuntu-build)

  UI is set to German
Function Wizard shows some function names in english others in german

demonstrated this bug to Björn Michaelsen at LibreOffice-Conference in
  Paris today.

This is severe, because in order to use the functions one must use
english function names for some functions and german function names
for other functions, but you don´t know for which function exactly
which language is to be used.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 849508] Re: [Upstream] Double clicking on .ods file opens Calc but does not load file

2011-10-15 Thread Jorge E . Gómez
The bug seems not to be related to KDE. I found it after upgrading to
11.10, when trying to open a Calc file generated by phpMyAdmin (2.8K,
attached).

The file (donwloaded to my home dir, renamed as test.ods) will open fine
from File Open within LibreOffice, but trying to double click it on
Nautilus will cause it to hang, after the Loading bar is halfway
through.

Bug description:
Double clicking on a (desktop) .ods file icon opens Calc but does not
load the .ods file it just opens Calc.

I've experienced this with LO 3.42 and now LO 3.43 which was released
today. Using KDE 4.71, fully updated.

Various web searches have found a forum post that suggested deleting
the .libreoffice directory. That didn't solve the problem here.

By the way, opening .odt files this way opens Writer and the .odt file
  correctly.
