[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1361242] [NEW] apport-retrace does not modify the original report as expected with no option specified

2014-08-25 Thread KDEUSER56
Public bug reported:

Current behavior: When calling apport-retract and specifying a .crash file,
apport-retrace tells me the following:
Usage: apport-retrace [options] apport problem report | crash ID

apport-retrace: error: you either need to do a local operation (-s, -g,
-o) or supply an authentication file (--auth); see --help for a short
help

Expected behavior: apport-retrace should modify the specified file, as
indicated by the man page.

Demonstration:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-ihXi2hkCPfbEtVSDd5S2lVM0E/edit?usp=sharing
This demonstration was recorded on today's utopic iso.

I have installations of the last 3 ubuntu releases (saucy, trusty,
utopic) and this bug affects all of them (though trusty is as of 14.04.1
and hasn't been upgraded since then).

** Affects: apport (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1075351] Re: akonadi postgres configuration ignores port number

2014-05-07 Thread KDEUSER56
The Akonadi developers are aware and I expect the issue to be fixed in the next
time.
You can workaround that problem quite easily:
In .local/share/akonadi/db_data/postgresql.conf set
listen_addresses = ' ' to be empty instead of localhost (do not forget to
uncomment the line.)
Then delete everything in .config/akonadi/akonadiserverrc apart from the
[%General] section. Now akonadi will start.

akonadi postgres configuration ignores port number

Status in “akonadi” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
I have PostgreSQL installed on my machine and have configured akonadi
to use the standalone pg server.

I have postgres running on port 5433 and experience a problem where it
appears that the akonadi postgresql backend is ignoring the port
number from the configuration. Even if my configuration has the port
configuring to 5433, I get the following error running akonadictl
  start

   Database error: Cannot open database.
Last driver error: QPSQL: Unable to connect
Last database error: could not connect to server: Connection refused
Is the server running on host localhost (::1) and accepting
   TCP/IP connections on port 5432?

Switching my postgres server to 5432 (the default) is a workaround.

Okay is fixed upstream in master (as of Akonadi 1.12.44 revision:
