[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1322134] [NEW] Flat Panel Scaling after installing AMD Catalyst Driver
Public bug reported: Ubuntu 14.04 LTS Flat panel scaling after installation of fglrx (amd-driver- installer-14.10.1006-x86.x86_64.run) The driver got installed by default in gedit on double clicking. Once I tried to install properly in the terminal, the software got loaded (lots of ). Then a CATALYST control manager panel opened but it was blank with skewed icons. By guessing I clicked on the right or bottom icons and it got installed. But the display got shrunk with black border and about 8% scaled down. This I could adjust in Windows 7 by adjusting My Flat Screen SCaling option and slide it to 0, which solved the problem, but not in ubuntu. Tried various options from suggestions on the forum, but did not work. Now uninstalled Catalyst driver, the panel is full scale and sound is working. But do not know what native drivers are operational.
