2020-09-20 Thread Marco Giannini
As for Ubuntu 20.10, what is the timing for the arrival of the patch?
Will it take some time after arriving on 20.04 or will they be
contextual? (yes, the bug is also present in the development branch I'm
testing)

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1752681] Re: wireless disconnect

2018-03-06 Thread Marco Giannini
In my case it works also by setting the IPV6 to "Automatic, address only".
Try like this. Turn off the connection, set it to Automatich, address only or
"Ignore" and then re-enable the connection. In my case this procedure works
(see attachment)

I really do want to find a way to debug what happens that the wireless

The output of the following commands are attached:
  uname -a
  ifconfig
  cat /proc/sys/net/ipv6/conf/all/disable_ipv6
  iwconfig
  lsmod

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1752681] Re: wireless disconnect

2018-03-05 Thread Marco Giannini
I encounter the same problem with the daily Xubuntu 18.04 and Ubuntu MATE 18.04
of March 5, 2018. The connection via ethernet cable does not work unless I
disable the ipv6.
In practice I have to set the Method to Ignore in IPV6 Settings to navigate.

There are many problems reported about random and quick
disconnect/reconnect of the wireless connection in ubuntu. Some say,
disabling the ipv6 is the solution but it isn't!

I really do want to find a way to debug what happens that the wireless
connection drops randomly. But I couldn't find a tool for that.

The output of the following commands are attached:
  uname -a
  ifconfig
  cat /proc/sys/net/ipv6/conf/all/disable_ipv6
  iwconfig
  lsmod
  dmesg

Title:
Unable to disable menubar in Firefox and add Firefox Menu Button

Status in “firefox” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Ubuntu 13.10 (32bit)

  What should happen:
Clicking on View - Toolbars - Menubar should find the entry that allows me,
if you removed the check mark button to display the menu of Firefox

  What happens instead:
Going to View - Toolbars is no longer the voice Menubar and then you can not
activate the button with the Firefox menu

Downloading from the site any version of Mozilla Firefox (in the
attached images I used the latest nightly but the result does not
change if I use the stable version) this does not happen and the voice
Menubar is present and allows me to enable or disable the button with
  the Firefox menu.

  Here are two screen
