[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1468027] Re: change default CJK fonts to Noto CJK
fc-cache -f -v is insanely slow with fonts-noto-cjk, upwards of 20 minutes on slower atom systems!!! -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to language-selector in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1468027 Title: change default CJK fonts to Noto CJK Status in fonts-noto-cjk package in Ubuntu: Fix Committed Status in language-selector package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Status in ubuntu-meta package in Ubuntu: In Progress Bug description: just realize that fonts-noto-cjk is available in the repository, finally its packaged. i don't really know about korean community. But for Chinese and Japanese community, i think that the answer is clear. noto-cjk is definitely better what we had before, like fonts- wqy and fonts-droid. Android community had received these complains for years, finally they got them fixed on lollipop. Fedora also set it as default chinese font start from F21. and of course, i still hope that ubuntu could drop those 69-language-selector fontconfig files, just like what F13 did. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1523018] Re: nautilus doesn't use unity window deco, looks bad, doesn't belong in 16.04
Biggest problem is probably the question where would local menus go, unless you would ditch the menu all together and just run with the csd based ones. Also, if the titlebar buttons would hide on maximize, then the whole widget area would have to move to the left i assume, which would be weird and not too intuitive. There are some benefits to CSD though, like the minimize maximize animation is smoother, because titlebar gets drawn at the same as rest of the window. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1523018 Title: nautilus doesn't use unity window deco, looks bad, doesn't belong in 16.04 Status in nautilus package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: It currently doesn't look correct in an ubuntu session. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 850649] Re: gnome-terminal extremely slow and display buggy
For all nvidia users, you could try to remove the GL cache: rm ~/.nv (driver <346) rm ~/.cache/.nv (driver 346) Then disable the cache completely: echo -e 'export __GL_SHADER_DISK_CACHE=0' >> ~/.profile Restart / relogin afterwards. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1348257] [NEW] Gnome terminal overlay scrollbar dissapears when changing tabs
Public bug reported: How to reproduce: - Type in some commands, so that terminal area displays a scrollbar - Open a new tab - Go back to the first tab - scrollbar has dissapeared Actually, the scrollbar seems to be still there, but there is no visual cue that the window is scrollable. Sometimes scrollbar changes color to a grey color (maybe it's a gtk themeing issue?). Is this intentional behavior, because it works as intended when scrollbar is on the left side? I think many people running batch jobs LIKE to have some kind of visual confirmation that the terminal can be scrolled (i use scrollbar as sort of progressbar, so i would like if it doesn't dissapear). ** Affects: gnome-terminal (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-terminal in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1348257 Title: Gnome terminal overlay scrollbar dissapears when changing tabs Status in “gnome-terminal” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: How to reproduce: - Type in some commands, so that terminal area displays a scrollbar - Open a new tab - Go back to the first tab - scrollbar has dissapeared Actually, the scrollbar seems to be still there, but there is no visual cue that the window is scrollable.
