I was hit by https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg-server/+bug/1627852 on a clean install of 16.04 LTS. After installing the DisplayLink Drivers v. 1.3.52 I rebooted to this error I can reproduce this consistently. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1241986] Re: Cannot connect to WPA/WPA2, EAP-PEAP, MSCHAPV2 network
the work-around mentioned above still works for me. I just verified. I suspect that for those that find it not to work, this will be related to how certificates are handled. Specifically if the network demands they be present on the device. That should also be taken into account. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to network-manager in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1241986 Title: Cannot connect to WPA/WPA2, EAP-PEAP, MSCHAPV2 network Status in the base for Ubuntu mobile products: In Progress Status in network-manager package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Status in ubuntu-system-settings package in Ubuntu: In Progress Bug description: On Ubuntu for Phones final image on mako I can see a network but cannot connect because I never get prompted for the username/password. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1241986] Re: Cannot connect to WPA/WPA2, EAP-PEAP, MSCHAPV2 network
I got this working with Cyphermox 's help: Here is whats needed in terms of configs: manually edit /etc/NetworkManager/system-connections/my-peap-network-filename Here is how it should look: /// [connection] id=my-peap-network-filename uuid=43751181-27bc-4184-a9b9-3adaf9e914eb type=802-11-wireless [802-11-wireless-security] key-mgmt=wpa-eap [802-11-wireless] ssid=my-peap-network-filename mode=infrastructure mac-address=E8:92:A4:9B:69:42 security=802-11-wireless-security [802-1x] eap=peap; identity=myusername phase2-auth=mschapv2 password=mypassword [ipv4] method=auto [ipv6] method=auto /// set permission of /etc/NetworkManager/system-connections/my-peap- network-filename to 600, and do a touch thats all. Appearantly there is (at least in my network) no need to actively ignore the cert acceptance. So i suppose this part is solved. I will do another bugreport as a feature request for a UI for all this. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1318360] Re: Poor microphone quality (mako)
Same here. Also on Mako but on r113 Utopic. I can only add that it doesn't always seem to be equally bad. Sometimes its almost decent, sometimes people can't understand a word i say. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to pulseaudio in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1318360 Title: Poor microphone quality (mako) Status in “android” package in Ubuntu: New Status in “pulseaudio” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: After months of complaints from people talking to me on the phone (mako ubuntu touch), I finally got around to use multiROM to dual boot Ubuntu Touch and Android. Several people can confirm that there is a noticable difference in terms of sound/microphone quality between Android and UT in phone calls. With UT, my voice gets distorted to an extent that person at the other end have real difficulties to hear what I am saying, while with Android call quality is much better with no distortion. I have had a suspicion for a long time that this might be a software and not a hardware issue. After trying Android and Ubuntu on the same hardware I believe this suspicion is proved correct. This issue has persisted in all the builds I have tried since at least the beginning of the year, but probably longer. I am now at r17 of Utopic.
