[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1785233] [NEW] When creating custom property clicking add property clears the last edited line

2018-08-03 Thread Mikael Hjelm
Public bug reported:

The button Add Property clears any non saved text. This is counter
intuitive and if one wishes to add another property without exiting the
properties window the add property should only add another row, not
clear any text.

Tried adding more rows at a time but if you click Add Property it clears
all of them.

If there is a previous property the add property does not clear it.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1037111] Re: [SRU] LibreOffice 3.5.7 for precise

2012-12-12 Thread Mikael Hjelm
The 3.5.7.2 build 350m1 fails to open large .doc files, it treats them as text.
Is this the correct place to report.
System is Precise 12.04.1 amd64.
Smaller word files works fine.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1037111] Re: [SRU] LibreOffice 3.5.7 for precise

2012-12-12 Thread Mikael Hjelm
Mozaic, unfortunately i have to have this working and the ppa with the 3.6
version is broken for me so i had to try the libreoffice official release
3.6.4.3 which opens the document just fine so i cannot put any more effort into
this.
The failing word .doc file is 19.6 M if that helps any, it is unfortunately
confidential info so i cannot add it as example.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1015093] Re: [Upstream] Writer removes tableheader importing .docx

2012-12-12 Thread Mikael Hjelm
I tried the 3.5-ppa and this didn't solve this issue.
I have now tried the official libreoffice 3.6.4.3 and it opens it fine so i am
sticking with that one.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1015093] Re: libreoffice writer does not import .docx headers with tables correctly

2012-06-20 Thread Mikael Hjelm
Sorry about the poor error reporting but it is recognized upstream and i
simply wanted the solution to be implemented as soon as possible.

However i will attach a docx file which libreoffice does not open
correctly. I will also attach a pdf which shows the layout as it is.

1: open the attached document tableheader.docx in libreoffice.
2: i expect the rendering to be as in tableheader.pdf
3: please see for yourself. The table is gone and the text is written on one
line per cell.

The solution seeems to lie in :

But i am unable to compile the libreoffice package myself so i cannot
verify, dies when compiling moz or sysui.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 534360] Re: [ooo-build] Merge and center cells not available when cells are selected with mouse

2011-09-17 Thread Mikael Hjelm
I thought that the LTS 10.04 still contained openoffice.org so is it
valid to close this?

I try to select two cells to Merge and center with the mouse. When i do the
merge and center cells button is greyed out and i cannot select it.
However if i use shift and arrow to mark the same cells the button becomes
available.
It also works if i mark a larger range of rows it sometimes works.
Do not know if it is in any way relevant but i have used a smaller font in
the cells 6pt.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 470157] Re: Text does not display in Evince or other pdf viewers

Status in “evince” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: evince

I just upgraded to Karmic Koala 9.10 from 9.04.

Before upgrading, I was able to view the pdf at
http://www.accuratepowder.com/data/Acc%20Guide%20v3.3%20version.pdf
  without any problems.

Now, when I open it in Evince (or xpdf, or epdfview), most of the text
is not visible. Specifically the load data that is found in charts for
  most of the document.

I have verified that the same file displays correctly in Windows XP.
Another computer using Karmic Koala also does not display the text.

It seemed to be a font problem from looking at the error messages, so
I tried installing all the windows fonts I have into Ubuntu using the
  instructions found here: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Fonts

The fonts installed successfully, but the text in the document still
  does not display.

There is a bug that has something to do with...ubuntu 12.04 64 bit (maybe 32
