[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1054491] Re: [2516CTO, Conexant CX20585, Black Mic, Right] No sound at all

2012-09-23 Thread Nick Barcet
Not sure about Mic Boost, but Dock Mic Capture Volume & Dock Mic Capture Switch
are both reset to 0 everytime I plug-in my headphone&mic.
If you gave me the command you used to produce the above output, I could be
more specific. So far I have been using a gui to alsa mixer to set the values.

** Summary changed:

- [2516CTO, Conexant CX20585, Black Mic, Right] No sound at all
+ [2516CTO, Conexant CX20585, Dock Mic] Reset to 0 at each plug-in

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1054491] Re: [2516CTO, Conexant CX20585, Black Mic, Right] No sound at all

2012-09-22 Thread Nick Barcet
Fildling a bit, the problem seems to be linked to the alsa mixer levels
and rec status which are reset everytime I unplug and replug my headset
with microphone. Not very practical, specially since there are no way
to set this from any tool in the system's setting panel...

Status in “gnome-settings-daemon” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
On my Thinkpad T410 I have a touchapd and a trackpad. When I log in only
trackpad responds. I tried to manualny enable touchpad, but it didnt work
(xinput). I also tried alternative software like gpointing-device-settings with
no effect. The bug is present in Unity and Gnome 3 desktop. I also tried xfce4
which works fine. In Ubuntu 11.04 in classic gnome i had no problems switching
between those devices using fn+f8. I'm using Ubuntu 11.10.

can't enable touchpad in Ubuntu (thinkpads)

Status in “gnome-settings-daemon” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
On my Thinkpad T410 I have a touchapd and a trackpad. When I log in only
trackpad responds. I tried to manualny enable touchpad, but it didnt work
(xinput). I also tried alternative software like gpointing-device-settings with
no effect. The bug is present in Unity and Gnome 3 desktop. I also tried xfce4
which works fine. In Ubuntu 11.04 in classic gnome i had no problems switching
between those devices using fn+f8. I'm using Ubuntu 11.10.
