Not sure about Mic Boost, but Dock Mic Capture Volume & Dock Mic Capture Switch are both reset to 0 everytime I plug-in my headphone&mic. If you gave me the command you used to produce the above output, I could be more specific. Fildling a bit, the problem seems to be linked to the alsa mixer levels and rec status which are reset everytime I unplug and replug my headset with microphone. The bug is present in Unity and Gnome 3 desktop. I also tried xfce4 which works fine. In Ubuntu 11.04 in classic gnome i had no problems switching between those devices using fn+f8.
