[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1341073] [NEW] GtkStack doesn't render a background

2014-07-12 Thread POJAR GEO
Public bug reported:

GtkStack currently doesn't render a background, so theming it isn't possible.
Also, this causes issues with native X11 windows under Ubuntu where the
GtkStack will appear black or transparent, i.e. the background colour of the
top-level X11 window.

This breaks the stack transitions. Compare before/after on page 2 of
widget-factory.

Status in “compiz” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty, compiz 1:0.9.11+14.04.20140303-0ubuntu1.

The fix for bug 1282304, just released, has introduced the following
  regression.

Problem: All new non-fullscreen windows are now shrunk by the
decoration size. This produces gnome-terminals of 79 columns by 22
rows, and applications that remember their window size when closed
  shrink further each time.

Expected behaviour: Windows should not be resized unless they exceed
  the viewport size.

Example with gnome screenshot:

- Then open gnome sreenshot, show up without Take Screenshot button
which is placed in the bottom of main window. This button becomes

Status in “totem” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
1/ Insert a DVD and open it with Totem
2/ Totem will prompt two error messages : Search for multimedia plugins and
Impossible to find the required plugin
3/ Both messages contain the following additional sentence : Python (2.7)
needs to install a plugin to read the multimedia files of the following type :
DVD decoder subpicture

It is strange to see that Python needs the plugin, I would rather
say that Totem or your computer needs it.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1086494] Re: GtkScrolledWindow is mapped but visible child GtkScrollbar is not mapped

2013-04-13 Thread POJAR GEO
I tested totem and rhythmbox with overlay scrollbars removed (not only
disabled) and this warning message is gone. Seems to be bug from gtk in
combination with overlay scrollbars.
Therefore mark the bug for totem and rhythmbox invalid.
