My nvidia drivers works really good, and I have no drivers issues. I
tried to purge nvidia drivers reboot then install them from the
"Additional Drivers" but I still have this issue appear when I run

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 641899] Re: Ubuntu Software Center is very slow

Title:
Ubuntu Software Center is very slow

Status in “software-center” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
Ubuntu software center in the Maverick update become a very slow program.
For some, it has been slow since Lucid, for others it started with Maverick.

Seems like all operations are terribly slow.
Installing is the worst one, and is not just slow, the interface does not
updates correctly.
The description of any package gets very slow, and when installing by this
screen, the installation never finishes (or just don't update the status),
going back one level, it stills says Install button, reselecting it it updates
to Remove button.
GDebi is much faster in everything, a comparison of opening a package:

  software-center: 34 secondes
  GDebi: 10 secondes

It takes a long time to start. This is really bad and must be solved
if it is wanted to be used as a gdebi replacement.

Navigating is insanely slow. Not only that takes a long time to
display software lists, but also when scrolling it lags a lot: You
scroll, you stop moving the scroll wheel and keeps on scrolling a few
  seconds.

When you click install, it freezes a few seconds (window turns grey),
or it just does nothing for a few seconds, until it is added to the
  queue.

There is an attached video so that everyone can see.

  Thank you

Status in “unity8-desktop-session” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
The webbrowser app does not start when invoked from the Dash in Unity8
  in the preview session.

Upon clicking the icon the screen quickly flickers and returns to the
  Dash.

You can get some more information when running the terminal app. You
can make this app usable by uncommenting X-Ubuntu-StageHint=SideStage.

  From the terminal, run: webbrowser-app
  --desktop_file_hint=/usr/share/applications/webbrowser-app.desktop

This takes me back to the Dash, return to the terminal to find:
  libEGL warning: unsupported platform (null)
  libEGL warning: unsupported platform (null)
  Segmentation fault (core dumped)

I am attaching one of the crash dumps

Title:
Unity: login-screen background freezes and is shown as desktop
  background

Status in “unity” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
I work with Ubuntu 13.04 on a Lenovo X1 Carbon. After login, the login
screen background (including the actual login field and the spinning
wheel) freezes and further on remains as desktop background. I
attached a screenshot where you can see that I still work with Ubuntu
(the terminal is opened/active), but the login screen is now in the
  background.

If I then log out and log in again, most of the time (but not always)
  it works fine then.

Let me know if you need more information.
