It does neither of these, although it still displays the notify OSD bubbles with the incoming message. This was not a problem when on Ubuntu 11.04. My preferences are as follows: General > Display incoming events in the notification area Notification > Enable bubble notifications, Disable notifications when away or busy, Enable notifications when the chat is not focused. This occurs on a fully updated Ubuntu 11.10 with Empathy 3.2.0-0ubuntu1. Currently, after the lock screen update, when waking up - it freezes on lock screen. (I can also press Ctrl+F1 and Ctrl+Alt+Del to reboot the system). This problem is not happening with the AMD property drivers (but they have another bug, i can't set up the brighness of the monitor). The problem in my opinion is related to this package: xserver-xorg- video-ati. Changing "quiet splash" with "nomodeset" into /etc/default/grub makes the wakeup working, but the pc is really slow (can't be used), also after the normal start up. Best regards and have a good work. hello, I no longer use 11.10, although in 12.04 the problem persists (as I figured, with hi res videos). Do I have use the same command? Public bug reported: I upgraded from Ubuntu 11.10. The same error occurred during the installation. Public bug reported: Hello, I haven't seen for a duplicate of this bug when posting, so here it goes. When I play a video at any part, except if it is paused, and then open another video which shows up in the same totem player window, the player hangs and eventually crashes.
