Title:
New messages do not show up in message menu

Status in “empathy” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
When I am not focused on a chat and I receive a message, the message
menu should have the sender's name and also light up blue. It does
neither of these, although it still displays the notify OSD bubbles
with the incoming message. This was not a problem when on Ubuntu
  11.04.

  My preferences are as follows:
General > Display incoming events in the notification area
Notification > Enable bubble notifications, Disable notifications when away
or busy, Enable notifications when the chat is not focused.

This occurs on a fully updated Ubuntu 11.10 with Empathy
  3.2.0-0ubuntu1.

Currently, after the lock screen update, when waking up - it freezes on
lock screen. I'm also using ati drivers.

Title:
Ubuntu 14.04 blank screen after wakeup from sleep

Status in “xserver-xorg-video-ati” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
Hardware: Samsung Serie 5 AMD notebook (find in attachment the hardware
profile).
  OS: Ubuntu 14.04 (updated today).

After wakeup the notebook from the sleep mode, the screen goes blank while
the OS and the hardware is awake.
(I can also press Ctrl+F1 and Ctrl+Alt+Del to reboot the system).

This problem is not happening with the AMD property drivers (but they
have another bug, i can't set up the brighness of the monitor).

The problem in my opinion is related to this package: xserver-xorg-
  video-ati.

Changing "quiet splash" with "nomodeset" into /etc/default/grub makes
the wakeup working, but the pc is really slow (can't be used), also
  after the normal start up.

Best regards and have a good work.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1087520] Re: Zenity windows get TOO HIGH when text contains many words

2013-05-01 Thread Paulius Šukys
** Description changed:

  On 11.10, 12.04, and 12.10:

--info , --warning , --error windows get higher for each word which is added
to

Seems like useless blank lines are added below the text.

This is a big usability issue for applications using Zenity.

  HOW TO REPRODUCE:
  zenity --info --text='A b c d e f g h i j k l m n o p q r s t u v w x y z'
  zenity --warning --text='A b c d e f g h i j k l m n o p q r s t u v w x y z'

hello, I no longer use 11.10, although in 12.04 the problem persists
