Title:
Some Top Icons Disappear After Screen Locks - 17.10

Status in gnome-shell-extension-appindicator package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
Hi friends. I'm testing Ubuntu 17.10 with Gnome 3.26. I noticed some
top bar icons disappear after my screen locks and I go back in to my
active session. As an example, I currently have Quassel, Telegram, and
Nextcloud sync client in the upper right corner displaying their task
tray icons. If I lock my screen and re-authenticate back in to my
active session, Quassel remains, but Telegram and Nextcloud are gone.
The only way to get them back is by closing the application the
missing icon belongs to and re-launching it.

Thanks for all of your hard work!

manager.

Title:
Impossible to unlock the screen when using non-English language

Status in gnome-shell package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Steps to reproduce:
  1. Add another keyboard layout, e.g. Russian. Set key combination to switch
languages to Capslock
  2. Change keyboard layout to Russian.
  3. Lock the screen with Ctrl-Alt-l
  4. Try to unlock the screen

No matter what it's impossible now to unlock the screen. Changing keyboard
layout with key combination or using mouse doesn't help. System always reports
invalid password.
It works absolutely fine if keyboard layout before locking the screen was
English.

I was able to reproduce it on clean 16.10 install in VM.
