[Desktop-packages] [Bug 992619] Re: Empathy does not login - Error contacting the Account Manager
Temporary work-around: killall -9 empathy killall -9 /usr/lib/telepathy/mission-control-5 then restart empathy. Should work until it breaks again. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to empathy in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/992619 Title: Empathy does not login - Error contacting the Account Manager Status in AppArmor Linux application security framework: New Status in Chat app, and Telepathy user interface: Unknown Status in “apparmor” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Status in “empathy” package in Ubuntu: Triaged Bug description: As soon as I launch empathy, I get the following error message: --- Error contacting the Account Manager There was an error while trying to connect to the Telepathy Account Manager. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 972554] Re: [soundnua]: new capplet does not expose the sound card profile selection
I don't have the same card as the others, though I have the same problem. I have a Creative CTXFI Titanium and with 12.04 this all worked just fine (after a few tweaks). I can confirm that in 12.04 I cannot select the digital surround sound options simply because they do not exist ... though just Digital Output (S/PDIF) does exist. Here is a link to the output: http://pastebin.com/Hs8GbR02 aplay -l does list all the surround options (listed in this following pastbin): http://pastebin.com/7Yzwdk23 Why it lists hundreds of subdevices I don't know, though the important thing is that digital surround sound is listed. and the command pacmd list-cards does list all the correct profiles (see line 47), just none of them are selectable via the GUI: http://pastebin.com/e6pYv8KZ -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/972554 Title: [soundnua]: new capplet does not expose the sound card profile selection Status in “gnome-control-center” package in Ubuntu: In Progress Bug description: With Ubuntu 12.04, the Sound menu allows to select various profiles for each sound cards via drop down list in the Hardware tab. I couldn't find this feature in the latest daily-live image of Ubuntu 12.04 (from April 1st). I'd appreciate if someone would kindly point me where to change this ?
