I've attached a screenshot. It is however impossible to take a
screenshot while clicking the dropdown menu (that's when it turns
orange and I can see disc size).

should i typ brasero --debug --brasero-burn-debug 
brasero-debug.txt in terminal? nothing happens when i do it

Yes the issue is still present in Oneiric. Could you give me more info

  alpha 3 64-bit and the bug is back.

  PS. I've tried different card readers and yes it works every time in
  Natty (since early summer) and never in Oneiric alpha 3.
