I don't know if this bug still exists as I no longer use Thunderbird.

I have Thunderbird configured to "Autosave" every 5 minutes. (I
believe that this is the default configuration for Thunderbird.)

When writing an email, if the email is written and sent within the
initial 5 minutes (i.e. less than the Autosave period), no autosave
files are retained in the "Drafts" folder after the email is sent.
This I understand to be the correct and desired functionality.

However, if the writing of the email takes longer that the Autosave
time period, (i.e. longer than 5 minutesin the default configuration)
the Autosave temporary files that are saved in the "Drafts" folder on
Thunderbird are NOT deleted automatically when the email is sent.

This leads to a situation where, after a period of normal use of
Thunderbird, the Thunderbird "Drafts" folder will contain multiple
copies of the Autosave temporary files for many emails.

There appears to be no configuration option in Thunderbird that would
force the Autosave temporary files to be deleted, once each email has
  been sent.

As a result, I assume that a BUG exists in which the Autosave
temporary files fail to be deleted automatically when the related
  email is completed and sent.

I have Thunderbird configured to "Autosave" every 5 minutes. (I believe
that this is the default configuration for Thunderbird.)

When writing an email, if the email is written and sent within the
initial 5 minutes (i.e. less than the Autosave period), no autosave
files are retained in the "Drafts" folder after the email is sent. This
I understand to be the correct and desired functionality.

However, if the writing of the email takes longer that the Autosave time
period, (i.e. longer than 5 minutesin the default configuration) the
Autosave temporary files that are saved in the "Drafts" folder on
Thunderbird are NOT deleted automatically when the email is sent.

This leads to a situation where, after a period of normal use of
Thunderbird, the Thunderbird "Drafts" folder will contain multiple
copies of the Autosave temporary files for many emails.

There appears to be no configuration option in Thunderbird that would
force the Autosave temporary files to be deleted, once each email has
been sent.

As a result, I assume that a BUG exists in which the Autosave temporary
files fail to be deleted automatically when the related email is
completed and sent.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1439992] [NEW] GIMP - Menus not displaying in Title Bar of GIMP Windows in 15.04

2015-04-03 Thread Roy Gilby
Public bug reported:

When GIMP is started, the menu option are not displayed in the title
bars of the GIMP Windows. If you point the mouse pointer in the
approximate place where the "File" menu option would normally be and
click the mouse, that Window's sub-menu appears, but the windows title
bar remains blank.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1424541] [NEW] Nautilus crashes when navigating to a Workgroup called "Workgroup"

2015-02-23 Thread Roy Gilby
Public bug reported:

I'm not sure what package is involved as I have been unable to work out
what package contains the "Nautilus" file browser. To confirm the
executable is "/usr/bin/nautilus".

When using Nautilus to browse a Windows Network (a workgroup, not a
Domain), Nautilus crashes when you navigate into a Workgroup..

The following error appears in dmesg and /var/log/syslog:

[ 147.283917] nautilus[2725]: segfault at 0 ip 004c1aca sp
7fff01cd6080 error 4 in nautilus[40+157000]

The error is repeatable. In this case the workgroup is called
"workgroup" but changing the name of the workgroup does not stop the
error occurring.

Copy attached as requested. Error has occurred three times now. Still
no idea what use case triggers the error to occur.

Thanks,

Roy
