Title:
Despite enable-gio config option, Thunderbird does not see smb shared
  folders

Status in “thunderbird” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
Thnuderbird 15 in Quantal beta (as well as in Precise LTS) seems to be
compiled with --enable-gio option. However, when trying to attach a
file, no samba shares mounted via smb:// in nautilus, nor bookmarks to
such shares, are shown in the file picker.

Moreover, draging a file from a nautilus window on such a share to a
mail results in the url being added, not the file itself.

So thunderbird gnome integration sems pretty broken...

network drives not listed in thunderbird file attach dialog

Status in “thunderbird” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: thunderbird

I use Thunderbird 3.0.14 for my email. If I want to attach a file
which is on a network (windows) drive on another computer, the file
attachment dialog in thunderbird does not show the drive. I have to go
to the location bar and manually type {home}/.gvfs to show the drive.
This happens even if the gnome Places menu is showing the network
drive and so are other apps (like OpenOffice). This happens despite
  thunderbird-gnome-support being installed.

Cannot figure out why and as far as I can remember previous versions
on Ubuntu/Thunderbird did not have this problem.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1153568] [NEW] fglrx broken for a Radeon HD 7600A Series

2013-03-11 Thread Rubeosis
Public bug reported:

Linux XXX 3.5.0-17-generic #28-Ubuntu SMP Tue Oct 9 19:31:23 UTC 2012
x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Dell Inspiron One Touch with AMD Radeon HD 7650

Installation of the fglrx and fglrx-update drivers fails - nothing happens,
fglrxinfo returns errors
XOrg driver ist working properly

I downloaded the proprietary driver binary from

http://support.amd.com/de/gpudownload/linux/Pages/radeon_linux.aspx?type=2.4.1product=2.4.1.3.42lang=English

Installation succeeded. However directory /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu has to
be created manually in order to get the driver running.

I would suggest to update the fglrx-update package.

Unfortunately I did not succeed to build a deb package of the binary.
Hope someone succeeds.

Thanks in advance!
