As a workarount use hda-jack-retask http://askubuntu.com/questions/832248/sound-is-not-working-in-dell-xps- all-in-one-2710-running-ubuntu-16-04 "Praise of God i could solving the problem by installing "hda-jack- retask" - open the terminal and post: [ sudo apt-get install alsa-tools- gui ] - then post: [ hdajackretask ] in the gui of "jack retasking" i found "green Headphone" set as "headphone" i checked "override" and choose "internal speaker" then i pressed the button "apply now" then "install boot override" then reboot finally, the problem solved ... However, when trying to attach a file, no samba shares mounted via smb:// in nautilus, nor bookmarks to such shares, are shown in the file picker. Moreover, draging a file from a nautilus window on such a share to a mail results in the url being added, not the file itself. So thunderbird gnome integration sems pretty broken... If I want to attach a file which is on a network (windows) drive on another computer, the file attachment dialog in thunderbird does not show the drive. I have to go to the location bar and manually type {home}/.gvfs to show the drive. This happens even if the gnome Places menu is showing the network drive and so are other apps (like OpenOffice). This happens despite thunderbird-gnome-support being installed. Cannot figure out why and as far as I can remember previous versions on Ubuntu/Thunderbird did not have this problem. However directory /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu has to be created manually in order to get the driver running. I would suggest to update the fglrx-update package.
