[Desktop-packages] [Bug 931811] [NEW] Trash window too wide

2012-02-13 Thread Simeon
Public bug reported:

I deleted a file and opened the trash by clicking on the trash-icon. it
opens in nautilus as it should but the window is too wide, maybe because
the buttons are too long? (See screenshot1)

There is also a GNOME-bug-report:
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=650058 but it hasnt been
touched in 6 months so I thought I open one here. Maybe it helps.

It is even worse if I am using the 2-panel-window (F3). See screenshot2.

Title:
Unity 5.4 in Precise Alpha 2 binds "ALT", this interferes with other
  apps.

Status in “unity” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
I noticed that I can't press ALT + another key in some apps and games
any more, this is quite anoying, and it seems to be because the HUD
binds this key... While the Super key (or Windows key) is fair game
IMO, it seems that ALT is used in too many places for this to be a
  sensible choice of key.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1385607] Re: simple-scan segfaults with "Floating point exception (core dumped)"

2016-08-14 Thread Simeon-miteff
A calibration step in libsane's genesys_gl124.c measures the average
illumination (line ~3062) and then uses that value in a division on line
~3090.

The divisor would probably never be zero if your scanner is working, but
if the LEDs are not turning on then all bets are off!

I plugged my scanner into a different USB port, and that fixed it. I
suspect it is a USB power supply issue preventing the LEDs from working.

simple-scan segfaults with "Floating point exception (core dumped)"

Status in simple-scan package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
simple-scan and xsane both segfault every time I press "scan" in them.
The details I see from apport get reported automatically but I can't
tell how to see them locally. However, by visual inspection they look
  a lot like

  https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xsane/+bug/204621

My scanner is a Canon lide 210

How can I include the information apport automatically catches when it
  segfaults?
