Following today's updates (11 April 2013 about 4pm) banshee is suddenly
working again for me - no freezing right after startup. Don't know what
part of the updates may have affected it

  Banshee 2.6.0; Raring Ringtail with latest everything as of March 18,

  Banshee's main UI opens, but then turns grey.  CPU is at 100%.  This
  remains the case until the app is force-closed.

  I have found no way to work around this, not even removing plugin
  DLLs.

Getting same
Banshee starts up then greys outas if some process is running
All 4 cpu's varying up to 100% usage
Have tried uninstalling completely a couple of times but still the same

  The only way to get rid of it is to Force Quit. I haven't found a workaround.
