[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1509559] Re: Lack sensitivity mouse option

2015-12-26 Thread Takkat
Confirming this with using a `Microsoft Wireless Desktop 2000` dongle in
an USB 3.0 port on Ubuntu 15.04.

Fixed it by plugging in a spare wired mouse, or a Logitech dongle. We
can then adjust mouse speed as expected. Settings made there will affect
the MS desktop too.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1320020] Re: [Inspiron 1470, Realtek ALC272, Speaker, Internal] No sound at all

2014-08-08 Thread Takkat
From above mentioned reports on Ask Ubuntu people reported that
avoiding hibernation or fast-boot of Windows succeeded in resolving the
issue.

It may therefore rather be an issue with inappropriate hardware shut
down from the Windows hibernation process than an issue of the Ubuntu
sound system.

Re: [Desktop-packages] [Bug 581350] Re: Cairo-Dock Applets are invisible in openGL mode

2014-01-08 Thread Takkat
Thank you for getting back to this. Unfortunately we switched to Nvidia a
while ago so I will be of little help in further investigating this
ATI-related issue. Sorry for that.

2014/1/8 Christopher M. Penalver christopher.m.penal...@gmail.com

Takkat, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any
activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If
so, could you please test for this with the latest development release
of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com
 /daily-live/current/ .

If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in
the development release from a Terminal
(Applications-Accessories-Terminal), as it will automatically gather
and attach updated debug information to this report:

 apport-collect -p xserver-xorg-video-ati REPLACE-WITH-BUG-NUMBER

Please note, given that the information from the prior release is
already available, doing this on a release prior to the development one
 would not be helpful.

 Thank you for your understanding.

Clock or weather applet are rendered as should. In addition some icons

   reloading the icon theme.

Developers of Cairo Dock say this is a known bug with some ATI cards
   http://www.glx-dock.org/bg_topic.php?t=4409pos=0#mess_56968 and
should be reported to the driver developers.

Title:
Cairo-Dock Applets are invisible in openGL mode

Status in “xserver-xorg-video-ati” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-ati

In openGL mode some applets but not all from Cairo Dock 2.1.4 to 2.2.0
Beta in Lucid 10.04 LTS are rendered with 100% transparency thus
  making them invisible.

Apps affected are e.g. musicPlayer, dustbin, switcher, system monitor.
Clock or weather applet are rendered as should. In addition some icons
may become transparent when attached to the dock. This can be fixed by
  reloading the icon theme.

Developers of Cairo Dock say this is a known bug with some ATI cards

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 972554] Re: [soundnua]: new capplet does not expose the sound card profile selection

2012-07-14 Thread Takkat
This confirms that in 12.04 we are able to set profiles with pavucontrol
that are not accessible from gnome-control-center sound settings. In our
case for profile `Analog Stereo' (non-duplex) we need to run
pavucontrol. Sound settings only allow `Analog Stereo Duplex' profile.

Title:
[soundnua]: new capplet does not expose the sound card profile
  selection

Status in “gnome-control-center” package in Ubuntu:
  In Progress

Bug description:
With Ubuntu 12.04, the Sound menu allows to select various profiles
for each sound cards via drop down list in the Hardware tab. I
couldn't find this feature in the latest daily-live image of Ubuntu
  12.04 (from April 1st).

I'd appreciate if someone would kindly point me where to change this ?

  Thanks in advance
