[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1840725] Re: Microphone not working in Ubuntu 18.04.3 LTS on new hp-spectre-x360-convertible-15 laptop
Hi all, I have the same problem, My notebook is the same @dkajah, a new dell-g3-3590 with fresh Ubuntu 18.04LTS install (I already test with 19.10, the result was the same. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to alsa-driver in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1840725 Title: Microphone not working in Ubuntu 18.04.3 LTS on new hp- spectre-x360-convertible-15 laptop Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Internal Microphone does not work in Ubuntu 18.04.3 LTS in a new hp- spectre-x360-convertible-15 laptop. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1784485] Re: [ZenBook S UX391UA, Realtek ALC294, Mic, Internal] No sound at all
Hello guys, I followed your discussion to try to solve my problem. Now sound works in my PC, but I've got some other problems that came with. My PC is an Asus UX333FN, and I'm currently running on Ubuntu 18.04 with kernel 4.20. It came with 4.15.0.29.31 originally. When following the steps to install new kernels, above 4.18, I always get these messages : W: Possible missing firmware /lib/firmware/nvidia/gv100/sec2/sig.bin for module nouveau W: Possible missing firmware /lib/firmware/nvidia/gv100/sec2/image.bin for module nouveau W: Possible missing firmware /lib/firmware/nvidia/gv100/sec2/desc.bin for module nouveau W: Possible missing firmware /lib/firmware/nvidia/gv100/nvdec/scrubber.bin for module nouveau W: Possible missing firmware /lib/firmware/nvidia/gv100/gr/sw_method_init.bin for module nouveau W: Possible missing firmware /lib/firmware/nvidia/gv100/gr/sw_bundle_init.bin for module nouveau W: Possible missing firmware /lib/firmware/nvidia/gv100/gr/sw_nonctx.bin for module nouveau W: Possible missing firmware /lib/firmware/nvidia/gv100/gr/sw_ctx.bin for module nouveau W: Possible missing firmware /lib/firmware/nvidia/gv100/gr/gpccs_sig.bin for module nouveau W: Possible missing firmware /lib/firmware/nvidia/gv100/gr/gpccs_data.bin for module nouveau W: Possible missing firmware /lib/firmware/nvidia/gv100/gr/gpccs_inst.bin for module nouveau W: Possible missing firmware /lib/firmware/nvidia/gv100/gr/gpccs_bl.bin for module nouveau W: Possible missing firmware /lib/firmware/nvidia/gv100/gr/fecs_sig.bin for module nouveau W: Possible missing firmware /lib/firmware/nvidia/gv100/gr/fecs_data.bin for module nouveau W: Possible missing firmware /lib/firmware/nvidia/gv100/gr/fecs_inst.bin for module nouveau W: Possible missing firmware /lib/firmware/nvidia/gv100/gr/fecs_bl.bin for module nouveau W: Possible missing firmware /lib/firmware/nvidia/gv100/acr/ucode_unload.bin for module nouveau W: Possible missing firmware /lib/firmware/nvidia/gv100/acr/ucode_load.bin for module nouveau W: Possible missing firmware /lib/firmware/nvidia/gv100/acr/unload_bl.bin for module nouveau W: Possible missing firmware /lib/firmware/nvidia/gv100/acr/bl.bin for module nouveau (This time I was trying to install 4.18 for example) As I said, sound works, but my problem now is apparently the NVIDIA Card (it has a Geforce MX150). Sometimes my screen and my mouse freeze, and I also get something like in the attached picture. I also need to press two times the Fn keys for it to start working, which didn't happen with the other kernel. Has someone faced the same problem? [Desktop-packages] [Bug 879266] Re: gnome clock 'copy date' ignores custom format
I use Ubuntu 12.04 with Gnome Classic and I'm also affected by this bug. I see this bug is quite old... Can't anyone fix this?? Also, it seems to ignore locale settings... But that is another bug... -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-panel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/879266 Title: gnome clock 'copy date' ignores custom format Status in “gnome-panel” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: run gconf and change the clock app's format to a custom one. On my system (ubuntu 11.04 using custom desktop) it is /apps/panel/applets/applet_0/prefs. Enter 'custom' for 'format' and (eg) '%Y/%b/%d (%a)' for 'custom_format'. Quit gconf. You should see the custom format displayed in the clock as (eg) '2011/Oct/21 (Fri)'. Now, right click on the clock and select 'copy date'. Paste somewhere. Observe that instead of '2011/Oct/21 (Fri)' you get 'Friday, 21 October 2011'. Please consider implementing a change to make the 'copy date' option copy what is displayed and not ... something else. Clock 2.32.1 - difficult to tell what package this is in (would be nice to have in the 'about'), but I'm guessing it is /usr/lob/gnome- panel/clock-applet which is part of gnome-panel versino 1:2.32.1-0ubuntu6.5.
