I'm using Ubuntu 12.10, rhythmbox 2.97, and a Nexus 7. This pops up for every track I had transferred (so it gets to be troublesome when I move hundreds of songs, because then I need to wait and click "Close" hundreds of times). Interestingly, everything seems to play perfectly fine in the MTP device. Public bug reported: I'm using Rhythmbox on Ubuntu 13.04. If I pause the music, wait for a short while, then un-pause the music, it instead seeks ahead very rapidly, silently. When the current song end is reached (in just a couple of seconds) it will move to the next track and rapidly seek straight through it as well. If I pause again, then wait a few seconds, and un-pause, the player UI freezes entirely, and I have to use the command line to kill rhythmbox. I'm seeing this in Empathy too; if I try to open a new chat window from the Empathy Contact List, nothing happens. But if I start a new conversation from the Gnome Contacts list, then open a new chat with that user in Empathy, it works. This effects me.. however it's not just gnome-terminal, but google chrome and firefox as well. Basically, ALL window activity seems to be sluggish now. This is on a Core i7 system, nVidia Quadro GPU, lots of RAM and a fast RAID array.
