[Desktop-packages] [Bug 792085] Re: Automatic remount of safely removed usb 3.0 drive
Ubuntu 16.04 here and I have this issue with USB 3.0 external HDD. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/792085 Title: Automatic remount of safely removed usb 3.0 drive Status in Nautilus: New Status in thunar: Unknown Status in nautilus package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Status in thunar package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Status in udev package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Binary package hint: nautilus When I choose "Safely remove drive" context menu entry for an external USB drive within a nautilus window or directly clicking on the desktop icon, after about 10 seconds the drive is automatically remounted and a Nautilus window showing the root folder opens. I have noticed that similar already happened with a very old Ubuntu version - Bug #110589 and as that is so long time ago I thought it is better to open a new bug. Reason of the problem might even be completely different. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1421923] Re: No notifications for new mails
Btw, I started a request here for Google to send push notifications to Ubuntu. Change quickly to another app before Dekko starts. 5. Bug: No notification 6. Go to Dekko: You'll see your new mail. FYI as improvement, for me, in Dekko is not clear if Dekko checks the mail after X minutes or is a push notification. Thanks in advance! [Desktop-packages] [Bug 968268] Re: Cannot permanently add wallpaper to 'Pictures Folder'
Is this the same bug? Here is what I am doing: Right-click on desktop select Change Desktop Background under the Look tab select Wallpapers from the drop-down menu click on the + button to add new wallpapers to the selection browse to the wallpaper and click open ... What happens then is that the Wallpapers section changes to the Pictures Folder section with the wallpaper being applied to the desktop background - However when I close the Appearance dialog and reopen it and go again to Pictures Folder my wallpaper is no longer there!! So ... 1. The Wallpaper should be added to the Wallpapers section and not to the Pictures Folder and 2. The custom wallpaper should not disappear -- ever! And, yes, this is a clean install not an upgrade ... and yes it's occurring on other Ubuntu 12.04 machines as well - all of the 3 I have here. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/968268 Title: Cannot permanently add wallpaper to 'Pictures Folder' Status in “gnome-control-center” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Status in “gnome-control-center” source package in Precise: Confirmed Bug description: I successfully added a wallpaper from a subfolder of ~/Pictures to the Pictures Folder using the little + button. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 999138] Re: fingerprint reader Authentec, inc AES1600
I also have this device in my Thinkpad T400 and would very much like to use it! ;) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/999138 Title: fingerprint reader Authentec, inc AES1600 Status in “gnome-control-center” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: If i'm correct Ubuntu support fingerprint readers in user accounts as i read on the page: https://help.ubuntu.com/11.04/ubuntu-help/session- fingerprint.html I cannot find a list of supported devices, but do know that my device is not nativily supported. I installed fingerprint reader and it does support my fingerprint reader. It would be nice to add the AES1600 from authentec to the supported devices as well as the others supported by fingerprint GUI. I'm not a driver developer, but as Fingerprint GUI can find the fingerprint reader i think it should not be too difficult to incorporate it in Ubuntu. Or am i wrong? Althoug Fingerprint gui works somewhat stable. It does crash sometimes and the look of it is not native and nice in my honest opinion. Maybe someone with experience can tell me if fingerprint gui (at least the driver part) can be incorporated in Ubuntu? Thanks for all your good work!
