[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1904845] [NEW] [ASUS Vivo AIO V241DA_M241DA, Realtek ALC294, Speaker, Internal] fails after a while

2020-11-19 Thread Cyrille Caron
Public bug reported:

sounds stops after few seconds
I tried to modify the list order of the sound cards as alsamixer was showing me
that the chip ATI R6xx HDMI set as 0 HD-Audio Generic seems to have no output
when the chip Realtek ALC294 set as 1 HD-Audio Generic displays all controls
That's why I did edit /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf
I also tried to change with sudo nano /etc/group
audio:x:29:pulse to audio:x:29:cyrille
as advised there
https://fluoblog.wordpress.com/2008/01/13/resolution-des-problemes-de-son-sous-ubuntu/
but it didn't seem to have made any change as grep 'audio' /etc/group returns
audio:x:29:pulse

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1773527] [NEW] Problem of authentification Oauth2 non trouvé

2018-05-26 Thread DANIEL CARON
Public bug reported:

Good day.

I have two computers. One is a desktop with Ubuntu Mate 18.04 installed
onto it. Evolution 3.28.1.2 is running fine on it although I had
problems overcoming the Oauth2 not found but working fine now

My second computer is a Laptop HP Pavilion with Ubuntu Mate 18.04 onto
it.Evolution 3.28.1.2 is installed onto it but I have this attach screen
appearing saying Oauth2 not found. I used to have it on Linux Mint and
it did install, set and run flawlessly.

It tell me to cut and paste the code into the application. What
application ???

Also apparently it is suppose to be able to import profiles but I never
succeded doing that as it does not gives any clue of what the name could
look like.

Thanks for reading me and for your help if you can.

Regards

Daniel

This is also broken in precise when using the trusty kernel necessitated
by HWE 12.04.5 support.

(I had made https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/fglrx-installer-
updates/+bug/1343310, but it was marked as a dupe of this. However, this
appears to be related to 14.04 and it happens other places too)

I would speculate that the fix in #1254424 applies here. I note that
this is not a duplicate of that, as that was on 14.04 and this is on
12.04.

Bug description:
  indicator-messages got updated, introducing a new libmessaging-menu
api (deprecating the old libindicate library) which should make
  application developper's life easier.

The indicator work is done and the library is ready and we started
  porting applications

The current stack is being tested in https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-
  desktop/+archive/ppa/

  It includes
  - indicator-messages
  - gwibber
  - indicator-telepathy
  - thunderbird (soon, work is being finished)

which is what we consider the minimal set for landing the feature

for quantal we will add those soon:
  - pidgin
  - xchat-indicator
  - evolution-indicator
