When I drag and drop a folder from my primary internal hard drive to my second internal hard drive that contains a folder containing files with the same name than in the source folder, Nautilus prompts "Merge folder "folder1"?". I check "Apply this action to all files" and click "Merge". And now, Nautilus overwrites files with the same name in the destination folder instead of prompting me if I want to skip copying existing files. I have the same problem when copying a folder to an external hard drive. This problem doesn't occur in Ubuntu 12.10 that I was using a few days ago before upgrading to 13.10. It doesn't occur neither when merging folders on the same hard drive. It only happens when the source folder and the destination folder are on two different hard drives. I've added an example page as attachment. The same page prints fine with epiphany, so I can sort out any CUPS related problem. Printer is a Kyocera FS920 on local usb. Most pages print okay and I suspect Javascript issues. When trying the example page, a notification pops up that the page has finished printing, but none. The problem can be reproduced with a fresh Ubuntu 12.10. Using Firefox and trying to print the critical webpage a second time, printing status says "Sending data to printer". However, the job in the CUPS jobs list is gone. Online LED on the printer blinks and nothing is printed. The problem does not occur with the same page and Firefox 16.0.2 on Windows. The print job appears to have been set up correctly, but nothing emerges from the printer - the job remains persistently in the "processing" stage. I can print the same job correctly to the same printer by switching web-browser to Chrome, and I can also print to the same printer from my iPad through its wifi connection . I have tried using "Print to File", and am able to view the resulting .PS file using Evince, but when I try to get Evince to send the file to the printer I end up with the same problem. My conclusion is that Firefox is creating a printer job that CUPS can't handle. I've tried running Firefox in safe mode, but get the same result. Status in “nautilus” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: In two tabs at nautilus we have two directories in different disk partitions. When user cuts+pastes any directory from tab to tab in nautilus and switching back to source tab in less than 2 seconds after paste finished, then nautilus crashes with this message in /var/log/syslog: kernel: [] nautilus[]: segfault at c ip 08123ea1 sp error 4 in nautilus[8048000+19a000] Size of directory contents doesn't matter. tried to move an archive, a file, tried copy+paste, moving to the same partition, moving from 1 nautilus window to another nautilus window - these are okay. Tested on these filesystems: // ntfs = fuseblk ntfs -> ext4 ext4 -> ntfs ext4 -> ext4 ntfs -> ntfs ecryptfs doesn't matters here (tried on not encrypted partitions). Tried sudo nautilus. It crashed with: "** (nautilus:27191): WARNING **: Could not inhibit power management: GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NameHasNoOwner: Name "org.gnome.SessionManager" does not exist ** (nautilus:27191): CRITICAL **: nautilus_file_get_uri: assertion `NAUTILUS_IS_FILE (file)' failed" While testing i got these errors in /var/log/syslog: Mar 28 16:23:56 localhost kernel: [49154.278309] nautilus[26199]: segfault at c ip 08123ea1 sp bfe2e6f0 error 4 in nautilus[8048000+19a000] Mar 28 16:24:59 localhost kernel: [49217.641903] nautilus[26259]: segfault at c ip 08123ea1 sp bfa25a80 error 4 in nautilus[8048000+19a000] Mar 28 16:25:47 localhost kernel: [49266.033650] nautilus[26311]: segfault at c ip 08123ea1 sp bfa7bde0 error 4 in nautilus[8048000+19a000] Mar 28 16:27:50 localhost kernel: [49388.646678] nautilus[26370]: segfault at c ip 08123ea1 sp bfa24d90 error 4 in nautilus[8048000+19a000] Mar 28 16:29:29 localhost kernel: [49487.566957] nautilus[26615]: segfault at c ip 08123ea1 sp bf8f45f0 error 4 in nautilus[8048000+19a000] Mar 28 16:31:25 localhost kernel: [49603.659565] nautilus[26685]: segfault at c ip 08123ea1 sp bfcb9b90 error 4 in nautilus[8048000+19a000] Mar 28 16:33:36 localhost kernel: [49734.741084] nautilus[26749]: segfault at c ip 08123ea1 sp bfa45040 error 4 in nautilus[8048000+19a000] Mar 28 16:37:08 localhost kernel: [49946.171799] nautilus[26925]: segfault at c ip 08123ea1 sp bf96abf0 error 4 in nautilus[8048000+19a000] Mar 28 16:37:44 localhost kernel: [49982.724832] nautilus[27035]: segfault at c ip 08123ea1 sp bfb31000 error 4 in nautilus[8048000+19a000] Mar 28 16:40:46 localhost kernel: [50164.103057] nautilus[27138]: segfault at c ip 08123ea1 sp bfe266f0 error 4 in nautilus[8048000+19a000] Mar 28 16:42:49 localhost kernel: [50287.213107] nautilus[27191]: segfault at c ip 08123ea1 sp bf9d0940 error 4 in nautilus[8048000+19a000] Mar 28 16:44:05 localhost kernel: [50363.376862] nautilus[27226]: segfault at c ip 08123ea1 sp bfd3b180 error 4 in nautilus[8048000+19a000] Mar 28 16:47:07 localhost kernel: [50545.554634] nautilus[27282]: segfault at c ip 08123ea1 sp bfc43140 error 4 in nautilus[8048000+19a000] Mar 28 16:52:31 localhost kernel: [50869.937737] nautilus[27083]: segfault at c ip 08123ea1 sp bffba5f0 error 4 in nautilus[8048000+19a000] Mar 28 16:54:01 localhost kernel: [50959.185142] nautilus[27353]: segfault at c ip 08123ea1 sp bfa529c0 error 4 in nautilus[8048000+19a000] ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.04 Package: nautilus 1:2.32.2.1-0ubuntu13 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.38-13.57-generic 2.6.38.8 Uname: Linux 2.6.38-13-generic i686 NonfreeKernelModules: fglrx Architecture: i386 Date: Wed Mar 28 16:55:35 2012 EcryptfsInUse: Yes ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/nautilus ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE=en_US:en LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: nautilus UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/966911/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : desktop-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
