[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1579482] [NEW] Ubuntu 16 Bluetooth speakers and earphones connections not connecting automatically and dropping

2016-05-08 Thread garypeg
Public bug reported:

Ubuntu 16 Bluetooth is not connecting automatically to both my bluetooth
speaker and earphones, as well as dropping the connection frequently.
To connect I have to use bluetooth manager. The device connects.
However when you choose the device in sound settings there is no sound.
Then I have to choose Headset Unit vs A2DP and test for sound. There is
sound. But if I switch back to A2DP at that point, Sound settings moves
immediately to Built in Audio. Then I close Sound Settings, disconnect
the device, reconnect it, go to Sound Settings, Chose the Device and
A2DP and there is sound, for a while. Then I have to repeat the process
to get sound back.

My bluetooth mouth works perfectly.

I have purged and reinstalled bluetooth and pulse audio.
/etc/bluetooth/input.conf is blank. I am not sure what else to report.
Please advise.

** Affects: gnome-bluetooth (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1242258] Re: Can not make new folder nor bookmarks

2013-10-25 Thread garypeg
When you open Nautilus, you should Across the top you should read,
File, Edit, View, Go, Bookmarks, Help. Upon upgrade I have only
File.Under File I have New Window, Connect to Server, Enter
Location, Bookmarks, Preferences, About Files, Help, and Quit. Under
Bookmarks you can see the system generated bookmarks such as Download,
Desktop, Videos. (When I clicked on one of those just now Nautilus
crashed). But there is no way to make a new bookmark, including when
you right click on a folder. Make New Bookmark is grayed out.

I hope this provides enough detail.

I see now that (make) New Folder has been moved from the File to gear
icon within Nautilus. There my comment about 'can not make new folder'
is no longer a concern.

thanks

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1169147] [NEW] External monitor connected to Cedarview drivers- required virtual size does not fit available size

2013-04-15 Thread garypeg
Public bug reported:

required virtual size does not fit available size: requested=(2944,
1080), minimum=(320, 200), maximum=(2048, 2048)

GDBus.Error:org.gtk.GDBus.UnmappedGError.Quark._gnome_2drr_2derror_2dquark.Code3:
required virtual size does not fit available size: requested=(2944,
1080), minimum=(320, 200), maximum=(2048, 2048)

This feature was working until a recent update.

When booting I see a broken pipe message, trying to get vcount-
something like that.

Ubuntu 13 daily build as of around April 12-14
thanks

garyk
