[Desktop-packages] [Bug 41179]

2019-02-20 Thread gunwald
I totally agree. Just imagine that Firefox still saves all your passwords
unencrypted to your disc in it's default configuration. Who else does that in
our times?
The refusal to deal with this major security flaw is absolutely unacceptable!
And I think it's a sign of poor leadership. They concentrate on total crap like
pocket, just an other cloud shit, that no one will ever need, instead of
concentrating on privacy an security.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1571980] Re: Evince does not display PDF annotations

I can confirm, that this bug exists still in Evince 3.24.

Title:
Evince does not display PDF annotations

Status in evince package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
Evince does not display the content of PDF annotations. It only
displays an obtuse yellow symbol, but not the annotation text. This
affects not only documents where annotations were added with adobe
reader to existing pdf files, but also pdf files where the annotations
are created with the document, for example with pdflatex and the
  pdfmarginpar package.

  File to test:

http://tug.ctan.org/macros/latex/contrib/pdfmarginpar/doc/pdfmarginparexample.pdf

The annotations in this file are properly displayed in the Firefox
internal pdf-viewer. If downloaded and opened with evince, the
annotation text is not displayed on my machine.

This does not seem to be directly a problem of evince, but rather of
one of the underlying libraries, because the annotations are also not
  properly displayed in okular.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1583386] [NEW] Using ppa:gnome3-team/gnome3-staging dropdown menus in Libreoffice are messed up

2016-05-18 Thread gunwald
Public bug reported:

What did I do?
I installed ppa:gnome3-team/gnome3-staging and opened Libreoffice Writer:
   sudo add-apt-repository ppa:gnome3-team/gnome3-staging
   sudo add-apt-repository ppa:gnome3-team/gnome3
sudo apt update && sudo apt dist-upgrade

What did happen?
All dropdown menus in LibreOffice Writer are a mess: The don't have a border,
don't have a white background and if the selected entry changes (for example
you move the cursor between to paragraphs with different fonts) the text
becomes unreadable.

I gues, this is a problem with QT?

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 881864] Re: Regression: Missing backgrounds and emblems in Nautilus 3.2.0/Ubuntu 11.10

2011-11-07 Thread gunwald
I am sure that is one of these »emblems are to complicated for the user«
things. To remove this feature is pretty silly, because it was very
useful to be able to mark some folder in a simple way. Especially if you
have to browse many folders. Now I have many folders with emblems not
being able to change them any more. Every day with Gnome 3 is a day in
which you explore some missing features!
