Title:
Nautilus' Format option doesn't actually work

Bug description:
As reported by GNOME, the new Format option when right-clicking on a
USB stick doesn't actually format the device.

This feature was added to nautilus with

  https://git.gnome.org/browse/nautilus/commit/?id=a73c8c773

If we can't fix this before Saucy freezes, it would be better to not
show the Format option in Nautilus.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1264402] Re: Format volume doesn't appear to kick off a format when started from Nautilus

2014-01-19 Thread jhfhlkjlj
likely a dupe of bug 1227440. Does this still affect you? It should have
been fixed by now.

** Changed in: gnome-disk-utility (Ubuntu)
   Status: New = Incomplete

Title:
Format volume doesn't appear to kick off a format when started from
  Nautilus

Status in “gnome-disk-utility” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  STR:

  1. Right click a volume in nautilus and choose Format…
  2. Click Format… in the resulting dialog
  3. Confirm your action again on the next screen.

  What should happen:

A progress indicator or something to show an action is being taken.

  What happens instead:

No visible UI change. I can click on the volume in the sidebar in
nautilus, which remounts it with the old data.

Starting a format of the same volume by using the menu in gnome-disks
does in fact work; that is, I see an indication that the device is in
  fact being formatted.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1232454] Re: Computer will suspend very soon because of inactivity. dialog when resuming from suspend

2013-12-11 Thread jhfhlkjlj
** Description changed:

After upgrading to 13.10 today, every time I unlock my computer after
leaving it for a long time I get this prompt:

  --

  Power

  Automatic suspend

Computer will suspend very soon because of inactivity.

  --

However, the computer doesn't actually suspend.

And even if I do this manually (which works) and then resume, the prompt
is still there (and in that case, not true at all).

This is ugly and seems broken!

+ As suggested by the upstream Gnome bug report, this is an issue
+ pertaining to Ubuntu's lack of systemd integration.
